SATURDAY NIGHT — HIGH ON HOPE presents
OUT THERE🔥

From those illegal Blackburn warehouse parties back in ’89–’91 to where we are today… what a journey. 🙏

This Saturday we’re back at Gisburn for the BIGGEST High On Hope event in our calendar — and WE ARE COMPLETELY SOLD OUT! 🙌❤️

We honestly can’t thank you enough for the support you’ve shown us, not just for this event but over all these years.

Special thanks to our crew, @joe16tons @monolith_art @frenchies @craig_dewse @Skinny @tomjones269 to all our HOH crew for putting your - and of course to the DJs who kept the music the sprit n the scene alive - big luv n respect to all🔥🙌🔥

We’re genuinely sorry to everyone who hasn’t managed to get a ticket. We are at maximum capacity and simply can’t release any more.

If you’re still looking, keep an eye on our Facebook private group and page “High on Hope Blackburn Parties” Occasionally people who can no longer make it will offer their tickets — but please be careful and only buy from someone you trust.

What makes these nights special has always been the people.

The original heads are STILL out there doing it, alongside a younger crowd bringing their own energy — and somehow it all comes together with the same spirit we started with all those years ago.

Best vibe. Best crowd. No egos. Just people coming together for the music and a proper night out. 🔥

The video covers everything you need to know for Saturday, so please give it a watch before you set off.

Look after yourselves. Look after each other. Respect the location, respect the people around you and bring the right energy.

To everyone joining us on Saturday — we’ll see you on that dancefloor.

HIGH ON HOPESINCE ’89 ✊❤️

LET’S HAVE IT! 🔥

Big luv from the HIGH ON HOPE, the OFFICIAL HARDCORE UPROAR TEAM 💚

“The Replacement Killers” (1998) director: Antoine Fugua. During my Portuguese years (1992-1998) I recorded a little micro budget tune in Lisbon called “Escape From The City Of Angels” which featured gifted São Toméan singer Marta Dias. With a key introduction in L.A. and a lot of luck, the song ended up in the soundtrack of Columbia Pictures’ feature film, The Replacement Killers by @antoinefuqua (director of @michaelmovie and Training Day) starring award-winning actors @mirasorvino @chowyunfat and Clifton Collins Jr aka @mrwupass (and also featured Danny Trejo, Michael Rooker, Terrence Wei, etc). The label I was involved with at the time declined to further promote Escape to coincide with the movie release, (two years after the song’s initial release) calling the movie a ‘flop’. The movie is in fact a highly underrated masterpiece by an incredible talent pool and the particular scene in which our song appears was filmed in the historical, now dufunct Belmont Subway tunnel (near 1304 West 2nd Street in Downtown Los Angeles). Song co-produced by Joe Fossard @joe16tons with bass by Francisco Rebelo @koochibass, sax by Paulo Muiños, trumpet by Nuno Reis [][][] #goldenagehiphop #losangeles #eastlos #movie #actionmovie

Huge congratulations to the massive talent that are @skyvalleymistress on the release of “Luna Mausoleum”, a truly outstanding album

We had the pleasure of attending the album launch listening party and exhibition at Blackburn’s finest @prismcontempary and it was a sight to behold to see the consideration that band put not only into the phonic output but also the design and artistry surrounding it

The illustrations by @eatenaliveillustrations are unbelievable and our very own @throwawaytings collaborated with Max from SVM on some of the print specs and formatting

If you haven’t checked it out yet we would highly recommend you do so. Out now on streaming platforms
