@therussobrothers BAFFLING NEWS (.. NO, NOT PREGNANT): 🏆 2ND PLACE!!? 🥹 🤯 I MADE A SHORT FILM IN 48HOURS FOR @agbofilms No Sleep ‘til Film Fest ⚡️ ⚡️ AND NOW THE RUSSO BROTHERS JUST CASUALLY FOLLOW ME.
.
Synopsis: A woman is abducted and held for ransom. A trade must take place. 📱💰
.
Seriously though — this is a such TREMENDOUS honor.
.
The enormity of talent that poured in from around the globe is insane.. and the brief was a GOOD ONE (combine at least 3 genres).
.
My only goal was making something somewhat coherent to meet the deadline…
.
So — to be awarded 2nd place?…
BLOWS. MY. MIND. ‼️
.
🔪 It’s a ridiculous little film

Excuse me while I sit in a chair in silence and take this in… 😵

⚡️⚡️AGBO’s No Sleep ‘til Film Fest WINNERS⚡️⚡️
First and foremost, thank you to everyone who participated in AGBO’s 48 hour shorts filmmaking competition. There was such an incredible range of submissions, we were so impressed by all of your talent and creativity. We encourage each and every single one of you to keep producing such wonderfully DISRUPTIVE content!

*Drum Roll* Please!

🏆1st Place: “P E N” directed by Waldo Levendal (Cape Town, South Africa) @waldo_levendal
⚡️Synopsis: A simple pen has the power to create life, cause death, and everything in between.

🏆2nd Place: “TRADE.” directed by Joel Philips (Sydney, Australia) @joelbp
⚡️Synopsis: A woman is abducted and held for ransom. A trade must take place.

🏆3rd Place: “Movie, The Film: A Motion Picture” directed by Clay Lacey (Apple Valley, CA) @claylaceymedia
⚡️Synopsis: A filmmaker forces a bot to watch hours of romance, action, drama, and horror movies to create the world's first AI-produced film. This is the result. Perhaps creativity should be left to humans.
