Randy installed the last 33 rails of the corrals this afternoon. We couldn’t have done it without our friends Nancy, Joe, Colleen, Dan, Joanne, and Rick. We are so grateful for their friendship and their enthusiasm 🧤🧤🐴

STORYTIME

In 2018, Joe and l spent the month of March in India.

A friend recommended we hire Subhash Chand as our guide and driver. We are so happy we did.

Over the course of those wonderful days and weeks with Subhash, he became like a brother to us.

We met his beautiful family and ate meals in their New Delhi home. Heck, we even had a sleepover at their place!

Subhash tucked us under his protective wing and took us everywhere we wanted to go. And then some.

From the spice market in New Delhi to celebrating Holi in Vrindivan. From his wife's village of Meerut to Rishikesh in the lower Himalyas. From Amritsar in Punjab to the Wagah border crossing in Pakistan.

Subhash and I kept in touch over the years.

His three children now live, work and study in Canada. Subhash and his wife Anju came to visit their kids at the beginning of June.

Imagine my surprise when I learned that they be would visiting their daughter Shivani in Kelowna! I quickly texted Subhash to see if it was possible for us to see each other while they were in British Columbia.

Not only was it possible, but Subhash, Anju and Shivani travelled to Squamish and spent three glorious days with Joe and I in our home.

We talked, we laughed, we joked. We hosted a couple of dinner parties and went sightseeing.

But mostly, we reminisced of our time together in India, telling the same stories over and over and over again. Such amazing memories.

It was like we had just seen each other eight days ago, not eight years ago.

Thank you, Subhash, Anju and Shivani, for coming to see us. What a gift it was to spend time together again.
