Lacto-fermented pickles. Salt, water, spices, pickling cucumbers ... fermented for 6 weeks in my Gartopf crock.

if you are struggling with what does "Defund the police" mean, think of it as sharing some of the ice-cream with others at the table.

I wonder where Jane and Robert are? I have a book of matches I'd like to return. They were married in Vancouver, BC.

Evidence is in. After exhaustive testing, I prefer gin over vodka martini, super-dry, shaken or stirred, garnished with sweet pickled onions. by @joes1958

In the spirit of staying home eating out of the fridge and larder (yes, we have a larder) and not going to the supermarket, today's lunch is called sortayakisoba. No meat, and noodles are chinese, but I did have the magic tonkatsu sauce.

Tonight for supper, we are eating kinda' khao soi a lovely soup made in Northern Thailand. I don't have the correct noodles the fish and hot sauce are from Vietnam, the broth is based on a spanish serrano jamon bone and no crunchy deep fried noodles to garnish. And we are not in Chiang Mai.

It was delicious.
