Who says good coffee can only be enjoyed in cafés? ☕️🏔️

We took our Common Ground cafetière house blend on an adventure to Blea Tarn, armed with an @aeropressuk and ready for a well-earned coffee break amongst the fells.

After all, great coffee can be enjoyed just about anywhere… so why not take a bit of Joey’s along on your next adventure? 👀☕️

You can find our Common Ground coffee through the link in our bio! 🤎

Who said iced coffee was just for summer? 🧊

Iced Long Black, Banoffee Iced Joey or Iced Mocha… three very good reasons to disagree.

Because whatever the weather, coffee is always a good idea.

To our big boss man, Joe.

Another year older, another year of keeping Joeys going through sheer determination and an endless battle with fridges, freezers and anything else with a plug.

Still endlessly funny, still taking far too many pictures of deer, still somehow everywhere at once, and still running the biggest independent chain of cafés in the Lakes.

You really are the best.

Happy Birthday, Joe

Love from

The forecast is in… 100% chance of Iced Joeys, with heavy showers of The Whip. We’d trust this one.

Turns out we took “coffee by the lake” a little too literally…

Thankfully, the ones we serve stay firmly in the cup.

Cool off with an Iced Joey at any Joey’s location this summer. @momafoods is a firm favourite, but we’ll happily make it just the way you like it.

May & June recap.

What. A. Ride.

The last couple of months have been packed with incredible events, brilliant people and even more coffee.

From @arcteryxacademy to @veloretrouk, @sistersinthewilduk and @great_swim, we’ve loved every minute.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by for a coffee, a bite to eat or just a chat. You really do make these events what they are.

And, as always, a special shoutout to our partners over at @fellbrewery. It’s always a pleasure working alongside you.

Here’s a little look back at everything we’ve been up to. Roll on the next one.

The Great North Swim x Joey’s annual expedition to prove you can, in fact, get a coffee machine absolutely anywhere.

Another year of legendary coffee, Fell Brewery pints, our forever life changing Hazelnut Pain au Chocolats… and introducing the new kid on the block… The Whip menu.

If you’re gutted you missed out, don’t panic. You can still find us at @joeyscastle , @joeys_tarn , @joeys_hilltop and @joeys_claifeviewingstation , serving up plenty of Joeys goodness all season long.

Important to know: The Whip menu is exclusive to Wray Castle, so if you fancy giving it a try, that’s where you’ll find it.

Cheers to everyone who stopped by for a brew, a pint or a pastry. We loved seeing so many familiar and new faces over the weekend.

See you next year. Assuming the buggy passes its risk assessment.
