In a world full of bad actors giving Jesus a bad name, it’s a tonic to the soul to meet good humans bearing humble witness to Jesus, even if you never see it splashed across the socials.

It may seem like @andrewpetersonmusic, for example, lives the perfect life, but he’ll likely be the first to tell you that life ain’t that simple and that choosing to trust Jesus is sometimes the heart-hardest, flesh-suckiest thing to do. Why’d he tell you that? Because he’s a zero-BS kinda guy. He’s also a generous-spirited guy, which is pretty awesome.

@russramsey1 has written two amazing books. He’s got a third coming out that I’m excited to read. You’d think Russ was living a dreamy life. If you asked, he’d probably tell you that shepherding God’s people ain’t always easy, that writing books is often slogging-it-out business, and that being an artist is amazing but also full of so many heartaches and headaches.

@sophiekillingley has written a super cool book on the gift of being neurodivergent. She’s also created the funniest stickers in the world. She’s funny and bright and red-headed, and she’ll be the first to tell you that following Jesus over the long haul ain’t easy. I didn’t get to take a pic with her (boo on me!) so I’m including a fun sticker I bought of hers.

@ben_palpant has edited a super cool book that includes interviews with poets from around the world. He’s currently editing a book that includes interviews with novelists. He’s the nicest, humblest, tallest guy ever. He’d also tell you that clinging to Jesus for dear life is sometimes the only way to make it through.

@johnhendrix is a massively talented illustrator and his books are 100% COOL. But he’s also 100% unassuming, because he’s just himself, and that’s pretty awesome.

I met lots of amazing humans at @therabbitroom conference recently. They’re amazing because they’re just trying to be human in an insanely inhumane time. They’re loving Jesus in a way that’ll never turn viral. And they’re making art because they can’t *not* make art.

This then is me saying to you, friend: Hang in there, don’t give up hope, you’re not alone. You’ve got people. ❤️🙏🏼🕺💃🏽
