With the impending release of our new album PUNK RUINS (Out October 23rd!!) we all thought we’d have a look around the house for some vintage items that might illustrate where we come from and Brian is first up with a couple gems from his garage #punkruinsroadshow #punkruins

Today marks the 30th Anniversary of our EP, “Disco 666,” released by Touch and Go Records on this day in 1996!! It has some top notch tracks on it that we recorded at Dessau Studios down in lower Manhattan in the shadows of the World Trade Center.
Here’s a live video of us playing Disco 666 in 1998 in Chicago when we toured with Garbage

Coworking seshes w/ the GYAL WUK crew (@kayonnechristy @hellofrom_dana @suelynchoo @morghansfieldnotess) have been vital for keeping me on track in this, the busiest year of my life thus far 🥲

Getting my @burnaway MYTH reader & seeing my write up on @leasho_johnson’s Anansi series in print! 🥹

Closing night gathering of “GRIEF: Love Persisting” by @stazlab & @aleemscorner 🌙

This exhibition was rooted in the question: “How can art be used as collective catharsis for grief?”

@byemmamiles and @heathersutherlandwade hosted the most lovely artist gathering on archiving practice. Learned a lot and laughed a lot with new friends and old ☺️ @always_lstr @djsinista1 @kianne.patrice @adunkleyportfolio @kidbazzle @fionagodfreyart

A few years ago we did several tours with our label mates Soulside, smashing it down together every night!

We wanted to keep the party going, so we challenged ourselves to cover each other’s music. In Montreal, we went into Indica Studios to do our own take on Soulside while echoing the great lyrics and strong message of their song “Reconstruction”.

Read the lyrics and sing the song and you might recognize the legacy of systemic racism that we still live with today.

Check it out through Dischord at https://dischord.com/release/202/plays
