Back in 2010 I had just moved to Philadelphia after living in Los Angeles for almost 10 years. I was free lancing as a merch manager and waiting on my next gig. I was hit up by an old colleague of mine who asked if I wanted to sell merch for @entershikari on their upcoming headlining tour. I didn’t know anything about the band but I figured it would at least be an adventure. I was picked up at the Houston Airport by the tour bus. I met Keith their TM, and would soon learn Rou’s father first and then Rob. They instantly made me feel at home and I knew it was going to be a fun tour. As each show went on and I saw their work ethic and how they were as individuals my respect for them grew immensely. We had a good crew at that time and they brought us along for an incredible European tour. So the US and UK crews got to work together. That tour was a dream come true for me and it lived up to so many expectations. They even let me do it again on a different tour! @robwrolfe @chrisentershikari @roryclewlow @roureynolds @johnophonic @leeburgesspsr. Thank you for being who you are and making the art you make. Getting to work for you was a lightning in a bottle thing for me..So go rock your socks off in these last year of shows and when the musical itch eventually needs to be scratched I’m sure we’ll see you lads again. Peace and love. Bobby Soup

What a life! This will be the biggest year yet at Scruff of the Neck! In the last few weeks alone the activity has been mind blowing. Proud!!

The Cheap Thrills sold out their biggest show to date in front of 2,300 people at Mountford Hall in Liverpool. We hosted the 3,000 cap SOTN stage at Y Not Festival again in the Giant Squid tent. Blackpool Live launched successfully at Winter Gardens with Feeder.

This summer, our label roster (Cast, Inspiral Carpets, The Lilacs, The Ordinary Boys) and management roster (The Cheap Thrills and MariMari) have so far played 15+ festivals including Neighbourhood, Truck, Kendal Calling, Y Not, Together Again, Splendour and many more. The combined festival capacity racks up to nearly half a million people!

Next up for SOTN, we continue our Blackpool Live series with The Fratellis and The Enemy this month, debut albums from The Cheap Thrills (‘Keep Cheap’ in Sep) and The Lilacs (‘Keeping Up With The Joneses’ in Oct) and the usual hundreds of shows across the Scruff of the Neck Live listings.

Thank you to the SOTN team (Antonia, Joe, Javan, Natasha and all the other lot) for making this possible.
