Being called a dickhead by a load of randoms on the internet: a short debrief

I think it’s fair to say, and we have talked about it, I didn’t get Johno @johnoverity for quite a long time.
On reflection I think it was more to do with social awkwardness on my part, and my grip on what snowboarding meant to me.
Luckily, over time, I’ve had some right laughs with him, and I enjoy his company immensely. His positive energy, certainly on Insta, rubs a few people the wrong way. But, he’s fun to hang with, enjoys conversations that go all over the shop and is a kind soul.
When we recorded this in Chris Morans house, we’d had a few days in Tignes, razzing around, and laughing a lot. It was the first time we’d spent any time together and it was one of my favourite trips.
Thanks Johno x

Swipe for a cute dog, a wacky hairstyle and some great nail inspo.

We love seeing the weird and wonderful things you lot come up with to raise cash for CALM. Thank you for brightening our day when we look through our tagged posts. 💚

THIS is suicide prevention. 👏

I found this part of my conversation with Johno really moving: talking about how we’re still dealing with issues from our childhood, and how strange it was that we didn’t discuss it when we were younger, despite the similarities in our stories.

I’m really proud of the whole episode. I think it has important things to say about male friendship, honesty, vulnerability and communication. Thank you my friend ❤️

I’m going to take a moment to pat myself and @elysesaugstad on the back. There are a few people out there that have made a ski movie. When I say make a ski movie, I mean actually make it happen. Not just show up and be the talent but be the talent and make sure all the moving parts are in place in order for it to become reality. Then, there are the brave parents that go on a ski vacation with toddlers and a baby 😬. If you get it right it can be fun, but it can arguably be more difficult than making a ski movie. Have you met my wild boys? So how we pulled off combining the two to make a ski movie I can’t really say. Perhaps it was the location that made it possible? Or maybe it was our amazing team? Family support? Most likely it was all the parts and support coming together. Did we have bumps in the road? Yes, but we kept on plowing through!

Spotted: Automotive YouTuber @mike_fernie rocking our US Navy Shawl Shirt to review a Red Bull F1 car. Out of our four batches, this is by far @miccheckjim ‘s favorite jacket we’ve ever made.
Back in 1901, the Navy needed something tougher than wool for hauling coal, so the utilitarian denim “Dungaree Jacket” was born. We brought it back using 13.75-ounce selvedge from one of the last rolls of US-made Cone Denim. Handmade in Greenwich, it’s incredibly soft and insanely versatile.
Because the fabric is so rare, we could only make a short run—and we are exactly down to the final 19. When they’re gone, they are fully gone forever.
Hit the link in bio to grab one. If not, you’ll just have to admire it on Mike’s YouTube channel.

They say never meet your heroes for fear of disappointment…not the case here @johnoverity who did me the honour of letting me show him the view from the roof of Euston Tower early one morning, a soon to be re-imagined building owned by @britishlandplc and formerly @capitalfmofficial Tower of Power! I knew of JV from his pro snowboarding days in the 90’s way before his pink hat cycling tours started, but I stopped short of telling Johno he may once have featured on a poster on my bedroom wall😬. What a gent letting me gabble on about the plans for the @eustontower.

Some history people would rather not hear.

Johno Verity on slavery, the Victorians, angry comments and his open invitation to a dawn ride.

From episode 264, out no on all ze usual platforms 🫡

Johno would love to see Instagram fail. But does being in bed with Meta to this degree worry the most famous hat on the platform?
