6 Countries, 3 Weeks, 2 World Cups & 1 INCREDIBLE team 🇬🇧

My first outing with GB Para Cycling squad as Lead Swanny for both road World Cups in Gistel 🇧🇪 & Abruzzo 🇮🇹 🙌 Huge congratulations to all our athletes on hard graft & determination leading to great performances and multiple medal wins 🏆

4075km driven across Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy France & England. An immense European Road Trip with some of the most amazing memories along the way. Big shout out to all the staff - what a team 🙌

After working with these athletes for years at the velodrome it was so special to get to see them in action and support them on the world stage. Sports Therapy really is the best job of all 🤍

Thank you as always to GBCT, Suzanne & Dr Lenton for the opportunity 🙏

Para-Cycling Track World Championships 2025 🇧🇷

2 sunny weeks away in Rio de Janeiro with the GB Paralympic squad as they took on their Track World Championships 🥳🌈 The squad that never fails to bring the best vibes and all the laughs!
A super successful week as we finished off 4 long days of competition with 9 GOLD MEDALS, a total of 23 medals and 2nd overall on the medal tally! 🏆🥇🥈🥉

This trip rounded off my cycling trips for the year with GB, and what a trip it was to end an incredible 2025 cycling season on! 🤩 A few more busy weeks to go 🏎️ 🏁 and then it’s time to go home home !🥹🧡🇿🇦

Bit late to the insta game but what a week this was to end the season!

Incredible performances in dismal weather, soggy feed zones and hotel room banquets 🤌🏼

Wouldn’t change my job or team for the world but by eck I’m ready for a rest and to sleep in my own bed!

2024 cycling season done and dusted. What a year. Proud of what I achieved this year despite the hurdles set in the way. Thanks to the best teammates @britishcycling who make it way more enjoyable.

Thanks @ben.stephenson311 @jamesmillard1981 @alexdowsett @andypink9 for the guidance. Thanks @ash.griffiths11 @sophlavy for being the best carers and patching me up countless times. Thanks also to @bletchleyleisurecentre @ottobock_uk for providing the best training environment and braces to keep me at my best. And all the @britishcycling staff who keep us on the road from mechanics to medical staff to coaches to managers.

Now for a little holiday (first one in 7 years) and then the daunting prospect of a big knee operation. Hopefully the other side will be equally as golden but for now I’m just trying to enjoy a little reflection time. I didn’t take time out to reflect on the Paralympic cycle post Tokyo so it’s nice to have a little opportunity to look back now and feel satisfied with the last 8 years. But also I’m excited to see if we can turn Paralympic silver into gold if my body allows in four years time. (So just a little break then 😉)

A silver road world championships medal and the biggest hugs of relief and happiness. This medal means so much I don't yet have the words. All I can say is thanks to everyone for always believing and I think I've found the belief I needed in myself (Remind me of that when I'm being silly!).

World Championships ‘23 ✅

A busy, busy time working the Track, followed directly by the Road Races and Time Trials, but yet again the dream team got stuck in and got it done whilst keeping the vibes sky high! ☀️
Incredibly proud of how we all pulled together and worked so seamlessly as a team to achieve the success we had, topping the medal tally with 44 medals, of which 24 were GOLD ! 🏆🌈

This was one for the books!📚
A trip I’ll look back on in years to come and still smile from ear to ear! 🫶🏻

Now that I’ve had some time to have a rest, I can properly reflect on the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships - or “Super Worlds” as we seem to be calling them.

First off, thank you. Scotland was absolutely fantastic as a host and the crowds were amazing in Fort William, Glasgow’s roads, the Emirates Arena and Dumfries and Galloway. It’s brilliant to see so many people on the roadside cheering on all the riders.

A huge thanks to the staff and volunteers at @uci_cyclingworlds for making it all possible, and to my colleagues @scottishcycling and @britishcycling for all their hard work.

Personally, it was a great experience to work as a press officer for the Great Britain Cycling Team for the Para-Road events and support the Comms Team on the Road, Track and MTB DH events - massive thanks to Pete, Tom and Ellie for giving me an absolutely brilliant opportunity and to John and the rest of the Para Performance Team for being so welcoming.

There’s so many highlights to mention but the two Sundays spring to mind, having the best seat in the house for the Men’s Elite Road Race and then heading for one of the best nights of Track racing I’d ever seen. With the other being Para Hand Cycle Relay and Women’s Elite RR and then getting to guide a Scottish rider in Anna through the mixed zone and podium procedures afterwards, just the perfect way to round off the Champs.

On another note, it’s also my first couple of weeks in a new job, my role with Scottish Cycling has changed to become Digital Communications Officer, so here’s to many more events to come 🤝

Anyway to round off, Thank you Scotland, it’s been absolutely sensational 🫡🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
