An absolute honor. The best source of healing after tragedy has been working alongside our neighbors. Huge thanks to @councilwomantracipark @palisades.beautiful @mdrrotary @resilientpalisades @johnsontreeco for the extraordinary efforts to revitalize Aiglon Gardens. Did you know these triangular parks served as mercantiles when the Methodists settled Pacific Palisades over 100 years ago? Growing up with 2 triangle parks on Earlham, these spaces meant extra wild-land to roam, owls hooted from the Eucalyptus trees every night… just a few decades prior- Grocers, farm stands, textiles, and livestock trading took place right outside the doorsteps. A community farmer’s market every day, would be nice to have now…

Even with this unusual October heatwave cranking up the temperatures today, nothing could stop the incredible Pacific Palisades community from showing up for our neighborhood!
Huge thank you to the fantastic volunteers who teamed up with @palisades.beautiful to get hundreds of native habitat plants into the ground at the Aiglon Garden.

One of my favorite parts of the day is watching people walk in for “just a minute” and end up catching up with neighbors, making introductions, and staying way longer than they planned.

Exactly how I hoped Pali Trading Post would feel.

It’s not a gift shop…it’s not a general store…it’s really hard to put into words…it’s a feeling and this store is my favorite place. 💙

We got to escape and come back to the bubble.
I felt that magical bubble again, of the Palisades.

All the hugs I have been needing
All the smiles I have been looking for
All the feelings of HOME , I’ve been missing.
All the FRIENDS , I wish I still saw on the corner or in the grocery store.
All the streets that held so many memories and withOUT construction trucks and drilling.
Streets filled with CONNECTION, LAUGHTER, TOTAL MISCHIEF
The FOURTH OF JULY
THIS 4th of July will be one for the history books or the history social media posts.
The LOVE was ALL OVER THE PALISADES yesterday! I never even got tired, I was fueled by the Spirit of our community.
The strength, the courage.
The support! ♥️🙏🏽
Running with Palisadiens that ran since the 1st and 2nd year of The Palisades Will Rogers 5k & 10k Run ♥️🤍💙♥️🤍
Seeing all those chairs set up along Sunset Blvd and then with our friends and neighbors in them during the parade was POWERFUL!
I’ll hang onto this. This will be what I remember. This will be what supports my focus and heart in the days to come as we all get back to the rebuilding of structures, clarifying plans, calling the Insurance agent for the 200th time while we hold our breathe.
We got a real reprieve yesterday and it fucking ROCKED!
