It has been almost one month since the @emeraldcitykingsball…grateful for the producers @kingsherwoodryder @harleysayne @chancehazarddrag the volunteers, the cast this year, again, working so hard creating such a wonderful space where kings can share so many varieties and always received with love. For that, I had the courage to bring back one of the first few numbers I created as my step down number.

This number always reminds me why I started drag, and who is left behind when I now have the privilege to enjoy this art form to express myself. My drag will never be separated from my community work - something I grow to acknowledge and accept, something I hope to carry on and share with others.

Congrats to @hotmale.dotcom for winning the crown! I am more than blessed to be part of this journey with you - you are iconic with or without any title; yet this is so well deserved. And big congratulations to @dante.vanity @theromanwilde I am still in awe of the craftsmanship and dedication in your art. @stevie_phoenix our Mr. Congeniality - your care and joy brightened the room.

Love my brothers @jack.king.goff @likethabirds - you showed me not only the excellence but the power of the kinship and chosen fam and how that nurtures excellence in our community.

Thank you @hotmale.dotcom and @cy_v_v helping me draw and rinestone the rose art on my back; and @bruno.baewatch for assisting me with the reveal🥹🌹

Sry for the long caption but love you all so much 💕

We’re 4 days out from Bloodbath but we still have some tricks up our sleeves - Jojo Ventus Ninja is joining us as a special guest performer!! Jojo’s joined us before as a judge for our 2024 competition and we’re honored to have him back. Jojo is raising funds to offset the rippling costs of getting severely ill in August, so we better see folks with dollars, fives, and more out for him on Sunday. If you want to donate sooner to his rent fund, the l!nk is in the usual spot.

Jojo is your Mr Gay 90s 2026, the father of the Minneapolis chapter of the House of Ninja, performer at the Emerald City Kings Ball 2026 in Seattle and North Star Nerdlesque Fest locally, not to mention a local legend in the ball, drag, and burlesque scenes.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

For the second time in Bloodbath history, we’ve sold out in advance of the show! But hope is not lost if you still want a ticket. If you’re committed to attending Bloodbath 2026 in-person, we will have the following setup in place the day of the show:
We’ll have two lines, presale and standby. Our fabulous door staff will let in all of the presale ticket holders first and then anyone in standby. Accepted payments for standby are cash or Venmo, $10 per ticket.

Today’s image is of @jojo_ventus ‘s judge performance from Bloodbath 2024, shot by @mfox.jpg ! If you’ve read this far, a little treat: it’s highly likely we’ll be seeing Jojo again this year on the Bloodbath stage 😳
