"WFF Doc Lab was integral to understanding how to produce documentaries in Canada, building relationships with peers and mentors who would go on to help make 'Spring After Spring' possible." ⭐️ 🎬️ Jon Chiang is an award-winning Chinese-Peruvian filmmaker and founder of Chifa Studios based in British Columbia. His work is informed by his multi-ethnic upbringing and a focus on culturally grounded storytelling. He has collaborated with broadcasters including CBC, Knowledge Network, and TELUS Originals, with films screening at festivals such as Vancouver International Film Festival, Asian Film Festival, Reel Asian, and others. His feature 2025 documentary 'Spring After Spring' follows three sisters navigating legacy and identity through Vancouver’s Chinatown Parade. It received Best Canadian Feature at the Vancouver Asian Film Festival and is set to air on Knowledge Network in 2026 following a limited theatrical release. He also co-wrote and directed 'Our Ocean Table' (2026), a Jackson Wild-nominated TELUS Originals series exploring Korean culture and ocean conservation. Jon is a 2022 Whistler Film Festival Doc Lab alum and has participated in industry programs including DOC Breakthrough, BANFF DOV, and the Filmable and VIFF Delegation. He is currently expanding his work across documentary and series production while continuing to develop Chifa Studios. 👉 Check out the link in our bio to see the trailer of 'Spring After Spring' on our alumni page. ‼️Applications for this year's Doc Lab closes tonight at 11:59 pm PST

Their move was big and the reasons were personal. Our latest content series for the Province of BC follows four healthcare professionals who chose to practise in British Columbia. The goal? To help inform and inspire others thinking about making the same journey. To date, over 500 people from the US have made the move. And the numbers keep climbing as more people follow their hearts to BC.

We learned so much during this project. Each dish triggered a new understanding of Korean culture, our heritage, and our connection to the sea. This dish is from @jinmibychefj, where Chef J was kind enough to host us. Watch the full visit from Ep 3 of our ocean table, available on Telus Optik TV and CBC Gem.

🎬 we made the news 🙌🏽 thank you @cbc @cbcnews such an important reminder, especially during our exciting FIFA festivities ⚽️ be safe everyone 💛 @bethechangegrp CEO & Creative Director, Brandy Svendson @brandyland and @pacificpublichealth COO Matthew Wright speak with @janellahamilton @cbcvancouver about our Under the Influence campaign: Under the Influence Alcohol is on social media, our daily commute, the clothes we wear, and the ads we see. Once you notice it, it’s everywhere. [Ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, we launched] Under the Influence, a new provincial and global awareness campaign inviting you to see alcohol differently. This campaign encourages people to notice the cues and expectations that position alcohol as a routine part of social life - and to take action. We’re proud to have partnered with provincial and Indigenous health partners on this campaign, which is endorsed by all Chief Medical Health Officers in British Columbia. @pacificpublichealth The only charity in BC actively fundraising for public health initiatives. We envision a healthier, safer, more equitable future for all. Brought to you by @bethechangegrp A research firm & creative agency under one roof helping clients in the population health, education, and climate sectors to create positive change. Thank you to everybody involved in bringing this powerful campaign together! 📽️🙌🏽 #film #news #alcohol #actor #fyp
