Thank you, junior golf, for the best 9 years of my life. I’m super thankful for the friendships I made. It’s been a tough last year and a half stretch. Looking forward to being around a great group of guys and coaches ! #loveit #hootyhoo

Congratulations to Evan Rogers of Duluth on capturing the 105th #GeorgiaAmateur at Ocean Forest!

Rogers finished at 10-under (69-69-72-68) for the week to win by 8 strokes! It’s the largest margin of victory at the Georgia Amateur since @russhenleygolf claimed his second title in 2009 at Country Club of Columbus.

With his victory, Roger’s earns exemptions into the 2026 U.S. Amateur, 2026 Southern Amateur and the 2027 Jones Cup Invitational!

Join us in congratulating Evan on a stellar victory against a strong field at a tough venue! Final results can be found at the link in our bio.

Michael McCoy captured the title on the windswept Seaside Course with a three-round total of 4-under 206 (68-71-67), sealing the win with a final-round 67 (-3) and edging defending champion Jeff Knox by one stroke.

McCoy, based in North Palm Beach, FL, is one of amateur golf’s true legends — and the first player in USGA history to win both the U.S. Mid-Amateur (2013) and the U.S. Senior Amateur (2025). He’s also a 2023 Walker Cup captain and an Iowa Golf Hall of Fame member.

Big-time finish. Big-time résumé. 👏⛳️

Another edition of the Golf Travel Wire arrives in your inbox tomorrow morning. 📥

Here’s a look back at last week’s features:

- Fresh off a $15 million restoration, Pete Dye’s Teeth of the Dog is once again baring its bite as the No. 1 course in the Caribbean.
- Equidistant between Savannah and Jacksonville, the greater Brunswick, GA area offers a mixture of golfing options. Combined with some local ‘cue, a golfer couldn’t ask for much more.
