Burning man has always been a place for me to play, learn things, and explore new ways of being. This year has been about distilling my life down to the things that matter. The simplify. Thus, instead of my traditional 3 albums: “The art”, “The people” and “The moments”, I distilled it down this. A beautiful burn with amazing art, beautiful people and unforgettable moments )’(

I’ve officially found my favorite place to get work done in Santa Monica, and it’s not a coffee shop!

You don’t have to be a guest to enjoy this. They offer day passes, a resort pass to hang by the pool, or you can book a day room.

Also got the VIP tour with owner John Farzam, including an incredible room view and one of the coolest details I’ve seen, an automated shower blind. Nice touch, John.

Caught up poolside after with Katie Zika, Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce Membership Director, for our ongoing Santa Monica Chamber series. Plus a first look at their brand-new Coastal Petite Rooms in the East Wing, launching this fall.

Santa Monica business owners, want to be featured in a future series? DM “Spotlight.”

Two major policy changes are coming before the Santa Monica City Council this Tuesday, and I believe they deserve public attention.

One could significantly impact our hotel industry, workers, and local economy. The other could change how your elected representatives bring issues forward for public discussion and staff direction.

Whether you agree with me or not, I encourage you to read the agenda, review the staff reports, and make your voice heard.

Democracy works best when residents are informed and engaged. I hope you’ll take a few minutes to review these items before Tuesday’s meeting.
