We had lots of fun in Chicago. 😎

But can you do it at over 7,000 feet? 😉

Six hours. 7,100 feet. More than 30 rig attempts and 20 carries.

The 2027 HartFit Labor Day OCR 6 Hour is built around technical obstacles, rotating HYBRID challenges, and six hours to pursue your own goal—whether that’s mileage, the podium, or proving you can keep moving.

Free preregistration is open now. It puts you on the first priority list as spots are EXTREMELY limited. Pricing and official registration details are coming.

Labor Day 2027. Peyton, Colorado.

This is what success looks like before anyone posts about it. No highlight reel. Just attempts.

Failure isn't the opposite of success. It's part of the route to get there.

Meet our reigning 30-39 Competitive Age Group Champion...back-to-back, 2024 and 2025.
Both years, Jon didn't just win his bracket. He finished #6 overall. So if you're racing this year and you see him on the start line, don't count him out of the overall podium either.

This year came with a challenge that had nothing to do with OCR... Jon welcomed a new baby boy. New sleep schedule, new priorities, new demands on his time. And he still makes time to put in the work.

That's the whole point of what we do here. Life doesn't pause for training. It throws obstacles at you whether you're ready or not.. lack of sleep with a new baby, a rough week, a body that's tired. The course just makes that visible. How you respond to a rig you can't grip, or a wall you can't get over, is the same muscle you use to respond to everything else life throws your way.

One more thing to watch this year. We're switching from 10-year age brackets to 5-year brackets. Somewhere out there, a 39 year old just breathed a sigh of relief that they won't be competing against 30 year olds anymore. Jon, on the other hand, was already winning with the bigger age gap, so it's probably not a big deal for him.

Some races are built to make you feel accomplished.

Frontline OCR was built to find out what happens when that feeling disappears.

When the weight gets heavier. When the obstacles stop cooperating. When the vest becomes something you have to earn with every step. When quitting would be completely understandable—but no longer acceptable.

This course was never built purely for the sake of completing obstacles, but rather for the sake of completing you.

It was built for the ones willing to suffer for something bigger than a medal. The ones who understand honor, sacrifice, and commitment aren’t words printed on a shirt. They’re promises kept when walking away would be easier.

Frontline athletes don’t need the mission softened.

They were built different.

Jon Coluzzi should be remembered as one of the most important men’s racers in the Midwest’s OCR scene—if not the most important. His consistency on podiums throughout the years is almost unmatched, but nothing defines his career more than what he has accomplished in Frontline Special Forces.

He has never lost his vest. The course has never beaten him. In 2023, it could only hope to contain him by taking out his knee on a freak accident. His response? He busted his ass and made an incredible comeback returning in 2024 and finishing second.

The man already known as “Jonny Bells” gave that name a fitting moment in 2021. On his way to an incredible first-place finish, Jon hit the bell on Kraken—the final obstacle—with so much force that he sent it flying nearly ten yards.

Jon’s value to Frontline and Illinois OCR community cannot be overstated. The podium finishes tell part of his story. His toughness, loyalty, and impact on everyone around him tell the rest.

And while many great athletes have graced Frontline OCR’s podiums and starting corrals or had multiple years of successful vest retention, Jon has never left. If you are lining up at a Special Forces start line, Jon is lining up next to you as he will be once again in 2027.

And if you listen closely, you can still hear the ringing of those countless bells at the end of all the Vest Collectors, Mooring Lines and Krakens that could not stop him.

A true Frontline legend and foundational athlete of the Illinois OCR Scene, Jon is a first ballot OCR Athlete of the Midwest Hall of Famer, if there ever is such a thing.

Jon Coluzzi.

Wanna be a stronger dad?

Day 9 of 30. 🔔

One kettlebell.
30 days.
No excuses.

We’re not chasing perfection—we’re building consistency.

For the next 30 days, all you need is one kettlebell and about 30-40 minutes.

You can still join the challenge. Comment “30” below ⬇️

Miss a day? Pick back up.
Too easy? Go heavier.
Too hard? Modify.

The goal isn’t to be perfect.
The goal is to show up.

Stronger Every Day

Thanks to @jonny_bells for the workout inspiration
