Individually and together, the four plays are deeply impactful, asking you to confront some of the hardest-to-face parts of being a person. It isn’t always comfortable, though there are parts that are unexpectedly funny. But as I often find at Shaking the Tree, the images and ideas don’t stay in the theatre. They keep crawling around your brain, making you consider events, people, and even yourself with a changed perspective. I highly recommend it.”

This Saturday afternoon marks the final day of our free Speculations, featuring two famous lover's quarrels with a pair of Speculation remounts - with a twist!

First up we visit the fairy king and queen once more for “This Progeny Of Evils” from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, this time at Hawthorne Plaza (SE 37th and Hawthorne) with returning actors Wynee Hu as Puck and Lauren Trask as Titania, and a special guest Oberon, Jonathan Cullen! Showings at 11:15am, 11:45am, and 12:15pm

Then, head over to @angelosbarpdx (4620 SE Hawthorne), site of our 2024 Twelfth Night production, for another chance to see “My Lady Disdain” from Much Ado About Nothing with Megan Haynes, Wendy Wilcox, and Isabella Buckner returning as Hero, Leonato, and Beatrice, and Megan Skye Hale joining as Benedick! Showings at 2:30, 3:00, and 3:30pm
