Just two days before Netanyahu lands in New York, over 1,000 Jewish community members gathered to observe Yom Kippur in mass mourning, collective atonement, and a call to action.
We refuse to pretend there is a ceasefire in Gaza.
We refuse to speak of Israel's genocide in the past tense. We refuse to be complicit in ethnic cleansing, in the use of our taxes to bomb entire families. And we refuse to welcome wanted war criminals into our city.
This is our third Rabbis for Ceasefire public Yizkor service. We cannot let the day go without remembering and honoring every single life lost in the far too many years of Israeli occupation, funded by the US. On our holiest of holidays, we pray in remembrance, refusal, and recommitment to keep fighting until Palestine is free. For the sin of Genocide we atone!! @abbychavastein @rabbis4ceasefire @jfrejnyc @jvpny @ifnotnoworg @brad.lander @ellenlippmann @justice4mahmoud

FIlm intod by @nycmayor !! And amazing q and a hosted by Amy Goodman with filmmaker @yaelbridge ,City Council Member @tiffany_caban , UPS Teamster Antonio Rosario and ,Connor Spence Amazon Union
IBT 1 president - discussing working conditions for delivery workers and the future of organized labor -important conversation about the Delivery Protection Act Sponsored by @tiffany_caban that would create a licensing system for certain last-mile warehouses and distribution facilities while establishing new safety, training and labor standards. The legislation( supported by @nycmayor ) would rein in the power of corporate delivery giants like Amazon, hold them accountable for their exploitative business model and make New York City’s streets safer for workers, drivers and pedestrians!!!@whomovesamerica theatrical release by @8.above -congratulations to @jonreiss for helping to get this important message out !!! #solidaritydelivers #whenweorganizewewin

Earlier this year, Jon sat down with director Kim A. Snyder (@kasnyderfilms) and producer Janique L. Robillard (@janiquette) to break down the strategy behind the film’s release, from finding its core audience to turning sold-out screenings into civic events across the country.

On On Production, Jon Reiss makes the case that distribution and marketing must be line items:

If you don’t budget for it from the start, you’re never going to get the money. And if you raise it and don’t protect it, it disappears into production. The plan has to come first.
