MEET THE ARTISTS — CHESHIRE PRINT FAIR AUTUMN 2026

Another look at some of the brilliant artists joining us at Chester Cathedral this October…

@jontofski - Jonathan Edwards is an illustrator whose distinctive work spans prints, books and posters, bringing his original watercolour illustrations and unmistakable characterful style to the fair.

@cyanotypegarden - The Cyanotype Garden is a collaboration between two friends with a shared obsession for cyanotype. Using light-sensitive processes, they create original botanical prints on paper and fabric, alongside cards and other beautifully individual pieces.

@indigo.moth - Indigo Moth creates atmospheric cyanotype work inspired by the seasons and the natural world. Combining photography and photogram techniques, the work celebrates close observation, changing landscapes and the unpredictability of the cyanotype process.

@spindle_printer - Gareth, aka Spindle Printer, creates intricate linocut and wood-engraved prints exploring history, nature, storytelling and folklore. His hand-pressed editions range from bold single-colour pieces to detailed multi-layered prints.

@jess__bright - Nottingham-based Jess Bright Design creates joyful, colourful work spanning digital illustration, Risograph and screenprint. Inspired by typography, pop culture, cats and plants, her playful designs are made to bring a little more colour into everyday life.

Five more brilliant artists, each bringing their own distinctive approach to illustration and printmaking.

Here and Now - true stories of dementia from Wales and Japan 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇯🇵

The Japanese side of the cover holds something remarkable.

The painting is by Ebisu Yoshikazu, legendary alternative manga artist and much-loved TV personality. He is in his eighties and living with dementia. This is his final painting, Relieved.

Welsh artist Jonathan Edwards @jontofski painted around it, showing Mr and Mrs Sato, two of our Japanese storytellers, looking at it in a gallery. We are grateful to Jonathan for the care and sensitivity he brought to it.

We are honoured Ebisu-sensei gave us permission to use it. For an artist who spent his life telling stories through comics, there is something moving about his final painting finding a home in a new one.

Created with Tenjin-kai, Ofunato.

Pre-order now, link in bio.

📅 Premiering at @lakesinternationalcomic - 3 & 4 October
📅 UK comic shops via Diamond - 11 November (order code SEP262089)

Yma Nawr - straeon am ddementia o Gymru a Japan 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇯🇵

Mae rhywbeth arbennig iawn ar ochr Siapaneaidd clawr y comic - darlun gan Ebisu Yoshikazu. Mae Ebisu-sensei yn artist manga amgen chwedlonol ac yn un o wynebau poblogaidd iawn teledu Japan. Mae e bellach yn ei wythdegau ac yn byw gyda dementia. Dyma ei ddarlun olaf, Relieved.

Fe baentiodd yr artist Cymreig Jonathan Edwards @jontofski o'i gwmpas, gan ddangos Mr a Mrs Sato, dau o'n storïwyr o Japan, yn edrych ar y darlun mewn oriel. Diolch enfawr i Jonathan am y gofal wrth wneud hyn.

Mae'n fraint cael cynnwys gwaith Ebisu-sensei yn y comic. Ar ôl oes o adrodd straeon drwy gomics, mae rhywbeth teimladwy iawn am ei ddarlun olaf yn dod o hyd i gartref mewn comic newydd.

Wedi'i greu gyda Tenjin-kai, Ofunato.

N'estival - Sunday

A strange opening to Day 2 of the 2nd N'estival as I found myself onstage talking about 'Diggin for a livin'. expertly interviewed by Geography teacher @smithster71 , I think it went alright and quite the honour to share the festival bill with folk like Felt Mistress and Gwenno

There I am up top 😲

waiting to go on with Day 1's Stanley Chow portrait staring at me.

Seeing the Felt Mistress creations up close was a real treat. No sign of John Evans though

quite the character

@rivalself looping and mixing some cassettes

@jontofski 's drawing contest . Like a fox 🦊

and the heavens opened

@juliengasc__ and Enid escaped the rain and broken pianos to perform a second set of the weekend

Gwenno and a piano

Gwenno

@paddy_steer . no further words

Even more random snaps of random toys pulled from my toy-box (ready for temporary storage) until they find a new display space and/or sales space, cheers.

They might not be the most “expensive” or hyped (that’s not what TOYSREVIL is about), but most of my toys have stories and “history” to go along with them, cheers.

Availability updates to be updated for when they are updated, thanks for your patience and viewing considerations.
