Remember when buttons where a thing? Everyone handed out pin on buttons and put them on stuff?

Why don’t we do that anymore?

Look at that guitar strap? It’s covered in buttons!!!

#UNH Student Activities Fee Committee bought a button maker and that was the beginning of the end.

#thevaginamonologues handed out these #ilovevaginas pin to attendees…

#filmunderground made a bunch with movie stills on them.

I wish I remembered who made these little #SCANtv ones. The art on them is so beautiful and complex.

I think I’m gonna find a Jean jacket at a thrift store and make a scene kid jacket… or cut of the sleeves and have it be a vest. I always liked them back in the day but I didn’t want to feel like I was putting on a uniform. No one (or just a hand full of old dudes like me) wear(s) them now so it wouldn’t feel like glomming on… plus I’ve got like a million of these pins and patches saved up from going to shows for the last 20 years…

With this #CanonXL1 I’ll be unstoppable!

Thanks @njfarrar

It has #SVideo out!!!!

Also, Rian, recognize this intersection/alley?

This takes me back to my #ScanTV days at #UNH.

In that first photo I’m using the #PanasonicDVX100 which we also had in the gear lock up... but in that second photo you can see Lubicky (does anyone know if he has an IG by the by?) holding the lens and body. That was our yearbook photo by the way... I’m pretending to hit @jonwahizzle in the head with a milk crate... we were a crazy bunch of cut ups...

But seriously who wants a 4:3 music video shot on #MiniDV? @tessaviolet did it...

“Do you like to drive?
Do you not like to drive?”

“Do you want a car with six wheels? Seven wheels? Eight wheels? Maybe even 12?”

“Well come on down! I’m Quimby Bass and this is my auto lot!”

In 2007 Matt Lubicky took his friend John Waugh out to the computer parking lot of the University of New Hampshire with a Panasonic DVX100B and said “John, try to sell me these cars” and comic genius was born.

Go to YouTube and type in “SCAN TV Quimby Bass Auto” and you will thank me later...

Mostly I just want people to get the joke when I’m walking through a parking lot and start saying any of the following.

“For over 20 years I have been providing you with cars from such various locations as Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Hampshire, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, New York and other foreign lands!”

“I cannot tell you the make or model of the car cup of what I can tell you is that it personally far as the Vietnam war!”

“This car is blue which means it is aquatic in nature”

“Do you wanna be dirty Harry? John McLean? Or Shania twain? Of course you do! Become your hero with this cutlass supreme from me, comes with dice in the window!”

“Are you looking for a big ass truck? Who isnt! Some people got a kill a snitch!”

“I am not a smart man, I am not an honest man! What I am is a businessman! So come on down to Quimby bass is auto lot we’re all the prices they are SLASHED, SLASHED, SLASHED! for you... BOOM!”

I literally say at least one of these every single time I walk through a parking lot. If a car is blue, if there are three New Hampshire license plates together, anytime I see a big ass truck (because some people gotta kill a snitch!)

My friend requested his birthday cake look like Baby Yoda's soup bowl. That was a bit easy, so I made the inside layers look like a starry sky with a surprise Yoda head when you cut in. .
.
This was an attempt at the surprise shapes that didn't quite work out at Christmas, and I'm very pleased with how it came out! It was also my first chocolate buttercream.
