I’ll never miss a Young Life Leadership Weekend!! 🥹🫶🏻🌸🛶✨

I was reminded of a prayer I wrote shortly after spending 2 weeks leading at YL camp (scroll to the end)…our world often has it backwards…we think “life is all about comfort & ease” — something I seek often. But instead, I have found my greatest JOY has been giving myself sacrificially, suffering alongside Jesus Christ to bring more people to know him, is where I experience God’s love the most 💗

Philippians 3:10
“To intimately know Christ, to experience the power of His resurrection, and to participate in His sufferings by becoming like Him in His death.”

I often forget how quick the world can change around you. I hopped out on this trip back in the beginning of March for 48hours, only to return to a whirlwind of events.

I tend to forget about the calms before the storm. That sometimes the little golden rays of joyfulness may be fleeting for a while; so it’s important to celebrate the moments you have. Revel in the vignettes that will make you smile when the days aren’t as bright.

Take the weekend warrior trip. Soak in the present. Take those little chances and risk that indulgence. We aren’t here forever❤️

Finally nailed the dyno on Rat Race (5.12a/b)! I never thought I would even try it over water. The first time I ever saw someone try it, they grabbed the top and then fell off sideways mid swing 😮

I tried it on a rope earlier this year and it was way too messy. Then I saw this one guy pull up with a boat a few weekends ago and make it look so easy! It had to be done... So I tried a jump or two for the last hold, without actually committing, to make sure I'd fall in safe... And it started to seem achievable. After a few goes, the finish hold was mine! The shot with audio from far away was the first time I hit it, and then the drone footage is actually the second time I went for it, so we could get another angle! I hit it twice in a row!

I am stoked about this cliff jump - highest cliff i ever jumped (felt like 60ft lmao idk what the actual height is tho)!!! Such a pretty place, it was sunset, and it was the perfect cliff!
Here's to testing limits and aiming to go even higher in the future... but only if jordan goes first😂 Also big shoutout to jack cus he fucking sent it in the end as well!!!

We actually noticed this huge cliff on our way to the grotto but said we would come back to it by end of day. we spent the day by the grotto climbing and cliff jumping a smaller cliff (but it was way sketchier) and were headed back when jordan was like "hey are u still down to do the big cliff?" and i said "yes if u depth check it" but deep down i was hoping it wouldnt be deep enough cus i was scared😂. but once he proved it goes, i knew i had to do it for myself. Happy to have pushed over those fears and extended my personal boundaries for what i thought was possible for me to do.

What can you fit in a day?

It’s a question we constantly ponder as we plan our time off; Trying to maximize our days as the year melts away in front of us. Just a few weeks ago, I embarked on a trip which contained a perilous boat race against an unforgiving storm, rock climbing, cliff diving, good food and even better companions. It felt like a massive adventure with countless moments worthy of tale… and yet… it all happened in less than 48 hours.

This summer has been an exercise in taking those brief respites from reality and making every minute matter. I’m extremely fortunate to have such an amazing weekend warrior crew. We might not be gone for weeks at a time, but we make the days count❤️☺️✨
