London Design Festival 2026 | The Makers We Loved | Part One London Design Festival 2026 brought together makers exploring material, craft and transformation, from fractured steel and wet-felted wool to recycled cotton, turned timber and inflated metal. In this feature, we look at ten makers whose work stayed with us. From reworking industrial materials to giving new life to waste and revisiting earlier designs, each project offers a different perspective on how materials, techniques and ideas can be transformed. We’re pleased to welcome @jordankeaney as a new maker to AUTHOR; a natural fit for our belief that enduring interiors are shaped by thoughtful objects, as much as by the spaces they inhabit. Handcrafted in London, each Momento bowl carries the memory of its making. Beaten, polished, and shaped over 10–12 hours, the marks of impact are quietly celebrated. Objects like this bring depth and longevity to an interior. They are pieces that hold time, skill, and story, long after trends have passed.
