POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The first time bs nollies are seen taken to a radial transition have a pretty clear stand out theme in that they were seen on VERT first.
.
Danny Way is seen doing various bs nollies on VERT dating back to 1989. A list of his bs nollie firsts in videos:
.
(slide 1) Nollie Indy : VERT : “Speed Freaks” : ~9/1989 F🎥 @realskatestories
.
(slide 2) Bs Nollie Tailgrab : “Hokus Pokus” : ~2/1990 🎥 Mike Ternasky RIP
.
(slide 3) Bs Nollie Disaster : VERT : Munster Monster Mastership 1990 : 1990 🎥 Frank Heller ?
.
Jordan Richter was dialing in the trick on VERT and non vert transition. The first bs nollie without a grab seen in a video on both terrains. The one on non vert having the quick truck bash is super sick.
.
(slide 4) : transition & vert : “Reason For Living” : ~6/1990 🎥 @shaikukeenan
.
Tom Knox pops the shit out of a bs nollie in a ditch in “Risk it!” . I threw it in the transition bucket a as it has some noticable radial transitions. (slide 6)
.
Mark Roach also bs nollies in “Risk it!” on the more what I would guess folks consider “transition”. With no back truck contact on the reentry (slide 7)
.
Risk it was filmed by @realskatestories Be sure to check out his amazing YouTube Channel!

Santa Cruz Team demo 1990 Turlock California. This was such a strange event. Me, my brother and about 10 friends went to skate at City Skates in Turlock and by chance the Santa Cruz Team was there doing a demo. The park was unusual and there was hardly anyone else there besides Julian Stranger, @jasonjessee, @jordanrichter, Corey O'Brien, Salba, @rob_roskopp, @jimthiebaud. We got to skate with our friends and had a blast! 🎥 Eric Henry

🎥 Blind Skateboards " Video Days" intro 1991 by Spike Jonze is widely regarded as one of the most influential skate videos of all time. Featuring Mark Gonzales, Guy Mariano, Jason Lee, Rudy Johnson, and Jordan Richter, the video captured a pivotal moment in skateboarding history—when the culture was shifting away from the polished vert skating of the '80s into raw, expressive street skating #blindskateboards #nocopyrightintended #skate #creditstotheowner #skateboard #skater #skating #skatelife #skateordie #oldschoolskateboarding #streetskateboarding #streetskater #skatehistory #skatelegends #skatefriends #lisbonshredders #sk8 #skateover40 #skatedecks #skateanddestroy #whatageisthat

Jordan Richter | 1991 | NSA Amateur Finals | Atlanta, GA

A little bit of street, a little bit of vert, and a little too much of Chris Ortiz's back.
