OMG this was my first spin class. I went through a range of emotions and my facial expressions did not hide my inner thoughts and feelings. I was definitely stressed and concerned if I was gonna make it. But I did that!
.
Thank you @1levance for encouraging me to stay after Zumba! I’ll be in the house next week! I know it will get easier! I feel like I’m working my way up to your class @joruff

#Survivor #Saturday @jackieemichele (Jackie Michele Henderson Tiger Slam Dedication Act VI post/#RunLikeJackie all rise on the edge #running endeavors of ATH/L post @nyrr
#rbcbrooklynhalf finish line dedication for @charlotterosecoleman. Skyfall 48: "No Sleeps until Brooklyn For Charlotte" with views of the Cyclone and Wonderwheel.

After dropping my secret on Star Wars Day (May 4th) on who I was running for the RBC Brooklyn half that I held on this secret for 2 months. It was time for me to perform on race day in dedication for Charlotte.

ICYMI: What happened? Charlotte on her Instagram unveiled she was diagnosed with chondrosarcoma back in March 2026. A slow growing bone cancer that affects Cartilage cells e.g Pelvis in Charlotte's case. Detected early a high survival rate but can't be done through chemotherapy or radiation. It had to be done by surgery. The surgery was successful and quicker recovery time. I have heard it when someone had an aggressive saracoma cancer and died in months. My friend was lucky and with permission that we agreed me and Charlotte that I will be running in her honor.
Who is Charlotte Coleman? A @bravotv "Top Chef" one of the popular shows on TV. Charlotte was a Soulcycle instructor in 2021, I did take 2 of her classes in her short time it was fun, challenging indeed and I definitely underestimated her. I have mentioned in my posts "friends in high places" literally and figuratively because of me traveling to places really high on top of the world like World Trade Center or being famous on TV shows, etc.

How did i do? Tough course brings out tough people. I am one of those tough cookies who had to battle hamstring tightness mile 12 had the course PB but a tiny cramp slowed me down plus the heat. After starting the first 2 miles at 20:15! 10:15 and 10:00 since I was patient making my move. I tried to turn on the jets but the heat was too much it was more important to get to the finish line with friends there for me from Brooklyn track club to @boogiedownbronxrunners to @asiantrailmix for getting me to the finish line. Fight another day. Final splits: 2:05:42, 9:36 pace.
