Yesterday was a great day to move with intention in our community. As a grassroots organization we made time to hone in on our organizing capacity and goals with our neighbors and members.

All that to say we have big plans in the fall-so stay tuned

Space C7 is proud to present, FAN OF A FAN no. 3. Fan of a Fan is a self-curated annual group show designed to celebrate Texas Contemporary art and the amazing artists that make it. This show exists for two reasons. First, to bring as many artists as possible together to celebrate themselves for one night, and secondly, to raise money not for any institution or cause, but for the hardworking artists. 100% of every sale goes to the artists.

This year, Space C7 Director, Jeff Wheeler invited Leslie Moody Castro, Jack Massing, and Hills Snyder to join him in curating this one-of-a-kind event. This exhibit pays homage to artists that inspire artists. Each of the curators picked five artists each that they are fans of. Each of those twenty artists, in turn, picked one artist that they are fans of. When the dust settled, we had 44 artists assembled for what proved to be another special exhibition on the Southside.

The show opened on March 28th in conjunction with Contemporary Art Month’s CAMMIE awards. The show is open through the last day of May with a closing reception May 29th, 6–9 PM. We are open M—SAT 1-6 PM.

Ok so last night there was liminal living room.
There was whimsical artwork hanging from a mesquite tree.
There was an insane Christmas-maxed cake made by Calli’s mom.
There was a drawing circle on the blankets.
There was so many incredible musicians and artists.
And most importantly there was a collective.
We are germinating a VERY special community here. A community where people will bring their garage couch and living room carpet at the drop of a hat cause I had a vision lmao. So thank you all .
Dont worry,
There Will Be Cake in 2026 🤞
