We WILL be in the LA Fitness Hall of Fame! Should @josh.dunks and I make this a series😂

So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. (‭‭‭Galatians‬ ‭6‬‬:‭10‬)

This is one of the best drills to get a longer penultimate step. By using a constraints-led approach, we give athletes an opportunity to visualize how much ground they’re supposed to cover on the penultimate step, as well as the feeling of jumping straight up rather than out by using the small box or vert trainer/Vertec.

With this particular drill we’re not focused on how high they’re jumping but rather the positions they’re hitting and how much ground they’re covering.
We keep the jump relatively low effort so we can get in lots of reps without burning out or aggravating knee pain.

The usual prescription is anywhere from 10 to 25 reps for a warm up.

For athletes who struggle with technique we will add this in on their high days as part of their warm-up, given they don’t have knee pain. If you do have knee pain then just do walk throughs and visualization.
