Yesterday, we turned out y’all! We hosted the first annual Northeast Kentucky Democratic Picnic. We had stellar speaks in @monicalivesherlife , @jessebrewerforcongress , @nedforcongress , @pam.b.lewis.5 , Paula Esque Bowling, and @colmonelridge! Even with the extreme heat, 80+ people showed out and are fired up to win next year! #KYDems

I was honored tonight to visit the Ashland Elks Lodge No. 350 to be the keynote speaker at Boyd County Democrats Town Hall! This collaborative effort with Boyd, Carter, and Greenup counties’ Democratic Parties allowed over 120+ NEKY Democrats an avenue to get involved with their local parties, connect with local nonprofits, garner connections, and build a community within our region to boost our efforts locally. This is just the start, more to come soon!

Friday night at the Country Music Highway Tribute Show, local musician Julie Reeves received her sign for having her name placed on the Country Music Highway! Mayor Perkins was also kind enough to gift her a key to the City!

We are so proud of Julie! She is the first person from Ashland to be officially honored on the Country Music Highway since The Judds in the early 90’s!

Thank you for performing this weekend!

We spent Saturday evening working hard at the sensory garden in Central Park💪 Our leader Elizabeth showed us how to remove a tiny, stubborn Bradford Pear and how to use a blow torch to safely eradicate invasive plants within the garden. We will be back throughout the summer to revitalize the sensory garden! If you’re interested in volunteering and learning please message us🩷 A sensory garden can prove to be very healing for the community, bringing awareness to the body and mind. The butterflies love it, too🦋

Hello there!! I wanted to reach out on behalf of @gnarcy.amb . We've got some awesome jewelry lined up, and I reckon you'd be the best match to rock our latest collection of masculine accessories!

If you're up for it, we'd love to hook you up with 3 pieces on the house! Yup, you read that right – totally FREE!

Just shoot a DM over to our main account @gnarcy.amb (if you dont see a DM button, just reply to any of their stories), and our guy Shawn will sort you out pronto! But hey, don't sleep on it – spots are filling up fast, and we'd hate for you to miss out on the action! Cheers, mate! 🤙

There is a community mural finishing up today near 17th Street and Greenup Ave, right across from the City Building. Head down there this afternoon and try your hand at being a muralist! Come create with us!

Thanks to Ashland Pride and Ashland for Change for putting this event together!

The roundabouts at 15th and 16th Street intersections have been poured and stamped! You can really begin to see how our new Main Street will look.

A big shout out to the construction crews for putting in the work this week, working late hours into the cold nights and the progress is showing! They are up against the clock and the incoming weather.

Remember, the businesses downtown are remaining open during construction. Please continue to support them in whatever way you can. 💜🩵💚💙
