Are you ready for the battle of the year? 👀🔥

Coming-of-Age is back once again, and we are excited to have Josh, Joey and Fong as our judges! 🥳

JOSH: First up, Josh brings 19 years of popping experience as a seasoned battler, teacher, and mentor in the dance scene. Grounded in respect, humility, and discipline, he sees dance as a lifelong teacher. Beyond dance, he is a member of ALT CTRL (SG) and Izakaya Worldwide (Bay Area), Co-founder of SMU Funk Movement, and a former Popping Instructor at New Heights Studio. Josh also works at the intersection of law and technology, shaping policy in the digital age. His work and leadership have earned him recognition as an ASEAN Youth Fellow, Asia21 Next Gen Leader, and a Prestige 40 Under 40 honouree (2025).

JOEY: Representing Pop Pop Cha, Joey has 13 years of experience while being an active competitor locally and globally. She has represented Singapore at Popper’s Dream 6 in China and has earned multiple achievements including winning 2nd place at NTU Funk Jam 2026 and Champion at NTU Funk Jam 2024, and Champion in Power of 2 Vol. 1.

In recent years, Joey has strengthened her involvement as a judge, including LCDC Popping 7 to Smoke in 2025 and Popping Town Philippines in 2026. Whether it is competing, judging or exchanging, she continues to develop her craft with a focus on musicality, groove and technique.

FONG: With over 20 years of experience, Fong has played a pivotal role in shaping Singapore’s street dance scene. As Co-Founder and Managing Director of New Heights Studio, and a resident coach at SMU Funk Movement, he has dedicated his career to educating and building sustainable pathways for young local dancers. Trained across multiple performing arts disciplines, Fong has choreographed and performed in major productions, while earning accolades with crews such as Sunset Alleycats and The Basic Fives.

Last week I turned 35 🥳🎂 and celebrated it with my soul-tribe—who are home, no matter the map. The family I found two years ago that has brought nothing but smiles to my heart.
💃🏻 It was among them that I finally knew—and decided—that my cancer journey has fully ended and the beautiful, exciting “life after” has begun.
⚡️It was with them that I found out my energy has fully returned and there’s pretty much nothing impossible to do as long as I put my mind to it... especially when being cheered on by friends.
🚀 It was because of them I realized at the end of the day: life is all about perspective... and that apparently we often get second, third, or fourth chances; we just have to be more present to find them. Because when we do, the trajectory of our life will be nothing but “up-up and beyond!”

Introducing our judges... 🔥

JOSH:

FONG:

CARINA:
Representing FT, Carina brings a strong international edge to the floor. Her achievements include placing Top 32 at Dance Vision Popping (China), Top 16 at Funkin Lady (Korea), and Champion of LCDC Popping 7TS (Singapore). With her competitive experience, she brings both credibility and sharp insight to the panel.

NIC:
From Singapore to China and Hong Kong, Nic brings precision and groove to every stage. A respected figure in Asia’s popping scene, he has judged major battles such as Under One Groove and Over & Over, and has clinched top titles including Popper Dream World Final 4v4 and Battle For Future.

JIN NEO:
Last but not least, Jin Neo. Widely known as an emcee, he has been Campbellocking since 2008. He was part of Singapore’s early locking wave during his time with Foreign Bodies. A national representative at Lock City and a multiple-time champion, he continues to nurture the next generation as a main faculty member at R Kids and Locking instructor at SUTD Funktion.

Joyful month celebrating the people who received the District Awards and Party Awards from the @papsingapore . While the awards are presented to individuals, they also reflect the collective strengths of the teams behind them and the foundation laid by those who came before us.

There’s so much we’ve accomplished together - creating a community of caring neighbours and support networks, and engaging the ground on causes close to our hearts to effect change. Every step forward has been made possible by teams who show up with heart and purpose.

Counting my blessings for our paths to have crossed. Congrats again to all, especially the old team, the new team and the next team!
