Jonathan Crane was a Professor of Psychology at Gotham University. His experiments in fear started to become too dangerous which eventually led to his expulsion. Of course revenge is on his mind as he turned to a life of crime. Using various chemicals, drugs, devices, and his expertise in psychology, Crane reinvented himself as THE SCARECROW, a name in which the bullied gave to him as a boy due to his scrawny look. Even though he’s a psychiatric genius, when you commit any crime in Gotham City, you will eventually cross paths with the Batman. Why subject yourself to the pain? Even a lunkhead knows better than that.

Seven years ago tonight, I met a guy for a first date in a misty and refreshingly brisk Times Square. The plan was low key - walk and talk, enjoy some fresh air and conversation. Within minutes, we were answering each-other’s obscure Star Wars trivia and matching our levels of nerdiness. Within an hour or two, we’d settled on a bench outside a closed down building (which has since become a French restaurant we visit every anniversary). After over four hours, a spark was clearly lit.

The seven years since then have been full of the biggest laughs, the tightest hugs, the tingliest butterflies, the warmest heart, the most caught tears, the best adventures, the most complete understanding, the absolute perfect company… the list is endless.

Boyo - the light you’ve brought to my life is beyond measure. In many ways, the fact we’re celebrating seven years feels surprising because life without you feels like a whole other century ago. I can’t wait for whatever is ahead for both of us. I love you so much! Happy anniversary, babe. 😘🤗😍🥰❤️😽🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻🫶🏻

(Realized I never finished my 2024 recap, so doing that real quick today. 😅)

December was all about great vibes with great people! Of course, there was cherished time with @joshsquash729 and Garrus, a heartwarming holiday trip to Josh’s family in Kansas, a needed visit from @harelglazer, a triumphant finale for @ohhey_brandon in @titaniquemusical, a two minute cherished hug with @mgscottwriter, hilariously fun outings with @bluedyegirl and @bleuteague, and a wonderful holiday hang with @tremcleod_, @garrett_19, @rubeology, and more!

Plus Josh and I caught the epic @sweptawaymusical, @davidyazbek celebrated Dead Outlaw at @54below, @frereslazour put on a hilariously campy and off the rails Nativity play, @to_die_for_duva performed a wonderfully touching and funny one woman show with some epic Shakira tributes, I got to take home a piece of the Times Square ball, and @mr.nickluis’ “Pansy Craze” was a fascinating flashback to days of old with an incredible cast, including Josh and @denizecinette!

All in all 2024, was full of cherished times with dear people, and plenty of epic music. But that’s not to say it was all roses. While I chose to focus on the good in these summary posts, there were still plenty of difficult times, particularly in my career as my industry continued to suffer (and still does), resulting in months without a job. And while I’m starting 2025 once again in unemployment land, I’m committed to make this year a good one in all respects - fingers crossed! ❤️🤞🏻🙏🏻

Another year wrapping up, another round of monthly recaps since I barely posted anything this year.

September brought my 32nd birthday, and good times along with it! More fun was had in Kansas with dear family and friends, and I had a family reunion of my own in my home state of Massachusetts over my birthday weekend that meant the world. Also, my aunts @lynnvinik and @ellenfitzpatrick1 moved out of NYC, but not before a beautiful and bittersweet gathering at their old apartment for a wonderful send off.

Meanwhile, my friend @marcodaliesio visited NYC, which lead to several amazing hangouts, including an epic Shakira-music-filled evening with @tremcleod_ and @garrett_19 that was an absolute blast. I also got to catch up with @mayabl15 (and meet the incredibly adorable Liam!), and got to say hi to the amazing @l.i.s.a.f.i.s.c.h.e.r after her wonderful performance with @grand.baton at a festival in Jersey, enjoyed alongside @jodyozomaki and @ina_taurus (who I hadn’t seen in way too long!).

And of course, it wouldn’t be a month of my life without some music somewhere. @joshsquash729 got me tickets to see the one and only @hanszimmer @hanszimmerlive for my birthday, which was mind blowing! We also got to enjoy @twentyonepilots, and I took him to see a stunning production of one of his favorite musicals, Once, at @kcreptheatre.
