The Pilates mat series isn’t a list of exercises — it’s a dance. 🖤

Each movement flows into the next through transitions. They don’t have official names, no cueing glossary entry, but they’re where the real work happens.

This is where you teach your body to move through space with control, not just complete a rep and reset.

Master the transitions, and the whole series starts to feel less like a workout and more like choreography. That’s the goal.

The 4th Button: Your Secret to a Stable Torso 🎯

If you’ve taken a class with me, you’ve heard me say:

“I should be able to tap dance on your tummy.” 💃👯‍♀️🩰

It’s not just a quirky cue — it’s one of the most important connections in Pilates.

That fourth-button spot is where your rib cage connection lives. When you draw your lower ribs down and in (instead of letting them flare), you:

✨ Stabilize your torso from the inside out
✨ Activate the deep core for smoother transfer of energy through every movement
✨ Take pressure off your low back
✨ Improve your posture — standing AND seated

It’s subtle, but it changes everything. Next time you’re doing footwork or rolling like a ball, check in with that fourth button. Your whole body will thank you.

Try it during your next at-home session and tell me what you notice 👇

This week we focused on our centerline — and for good reason. ✨

Your centerline is the foundation that activates everything: deep abdominal muscles, pelvic floor, glutes, and inner thighs. When all of that is working together, you have the strong, stable base you need to move with intention and control.

Without that foundation? Advanced movement is just guesswork.

Find your foundation. Find your strength. Move mountains. 🏔️

This week we found our strength through length 💪✨

Keeping a long, neutral spine while opposing forces — planks, one-leg circles, and more. Your body is the resistance.

Core connection. Control. Confidence.

No reformer? No problem. ✨

This week we took everything you love about reformer Pilates — the resistance, the control, the deep connection — and brought it to the mat. 🧘‍♀️

Reformer on the mat is one of my favorite ways to challenge the body differently. When you strip away the machine, you have to find the work within yourself. Your body becomes the resistance. Your breath becomes the guide.

We flowed through the classic Pilates series with a fresh twist — swapping between equipment cues and mat principles to keep you honest, keep you connected, and keep it fun.

This is what at-home Pilates is all about. 🏠💪

📱➡️😤 Tech Neck is REAL — and your body is tired of it.

Hours of scrolling, typing, and looking down are wrecking your neck and upper back.

Today’s Pilates session was all about undoing that damage — restoring mobility in your neck, building strength through your upper back, and retraining your posture from the inside out.

No gym. No equipment. Just 20 minutes and your mat. 🧘
