A few works that caught my eye at 1000 Vases. Different approaches to form, material and the possibilities of clay.

A reminder of how much there is still to explore.

Paris, September 2026.

Another ACGA down and I’m feeling fuggin’ good about this one.

Thank you to every single one of you who came, gabbed, loved on my work, and supported this life of making.

Going in, I was uncertain. The logistics of lug-life and showing at an art fair are pretty locked in, but my work itself didn’t feel fully connected. To me. For me.
I’ve been tight on time and low on creative juice. I’m not mad about it. It’s simply what is.

This year has been about growth in community. About learning to explore, and building togetherness.
So much in this world is at stake right now, it’s really heavy. And in that, there is an importance to making beautiful work, creating together. Together feels like resistance. Real resistance.

Learning, sharing, building with others has meant everything to me, and this one was special.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I have been sitting with a deep sense of gratitude from my time on the mountain at @cobbartandecology during our most recent train and anagama firings. It is so special to practice being in such intimate community with this crew for almost two weeks, sharing the process of prepping wood, loading the kilns, tending to the flames, feeding each other and laughing together. My heart is brimming over with the joy of connection and passion in shared craft. Thank you to @scottparady and the current cohort of residents who make Cobb the amazing place that it is. What beautiful results we unloaded over the weekend and wonderful memories to cherish. Until next time! ❤️‍🔥

We will miss them dearly. ❤️ Don’t miss the last 3 pictures in that post it sums up the fun the day before the opening of the kiln, and especially the last one @laurenqn.ceramics wearing her sexy stilettos 👠 thank you @nitrostout for sending me some pictures

The whole kiln came out beautifully! Strong, even results across every piece. We shared a really great firing together, and I’m grateful for the energy throughout the process.

We will have a lot of fun preparing the next firing!!

Yesterday, we wrapped up a stellar private soda-firing workshop led by @beckpots with a super fun group of folks. Featuring lots of laughs, many awesome demos by Casey, some truly expert tumble-stacking, an epic pizza party, and of course, tons of gorgeous pots. Check out all that wild flashing!

Yesterday, after 4 days of firing and 4.5 days of patient waiting for our pots to cool, we unloaded the train kiln to reveal the results of our Thanksgiving firing, led by CMAEP resident Lucas Schick (@sacredflamesart). The results were incredible—such dynamic surfaces and dramatic colors in all sections of the kiln!

Lucas led an excellent workshop and firing. It was a truly special, unforgettable week. We feel so fortunate to have fired with such a great group of people, and that all of our current resident artists were able to participate!

A big thank you to our members and residents for their time & hard work, and again to Lucas for all his patience and expertise. 🔥💚
