Alright. Here is #19: Saigon Market.

It’s the last tune from 2023’s Saigon Market EP that didn’t have one of these. Apologies in advance for any erroneous facts or dates, things that never happened, a basic misunderstanding of how the English language works, and misspellings that would make a second grader fear what lies ahead in the American public educational system.

Read the full thing through the link in the bio. It’s a long boy.

Thanks for reading.

Pool Hall Vintage is a small collective located in Downtown Tucson in the Dunbar Spring neighborhood in a historic adobe hacienda artists complex! We are named in reference to the famous “Auntie Ramos Pool Hall” a Mexican Billiard Hall that operated here in this space for many years and was loved and cherished by the community.

We are a pop up collective which also includes Future Vintage and Devils Claw Vintage (with room for a few more vendors!)
This is a blossoming and vibrant artistic community. Our neighbors are painting studios, modern art galleries, an organic hair salon, and Verdura - a custom ceramics and plants store. Flor Polish dance and yoga studio is across the street. And the African American history museum, community center, garden and cafe is just across University.

Pool Hall Vintage is an experiment in co-working and collaboration.
6 small vintage stores inside 1 warehouse space seeped in history.
We are just getting started!

Come say hello!

I Love Boosters opens TODAY!! Go see this movie then go see it again on Saturday and send people on Sunday and then everyone go back together on Memorial Day. I’ve seen it twice on two different coasts. I am not exaggerating when I say that you MUST experience this in a theater full of people. The crowds went wild! 💥It slaps DAYLIGHTS💥

When I saw Boots’ previous movie “Sorry To Bother You” it struck me in the same way that most of what was to become my favorite music struck me as in “What the fuck was that? You can do that? Why are people not doing it like that? Maybe do it like THAT.” This lands in the same way, plus some. It is surreal and timely and beautiful to look and I have not laughed that hard in a theater in a LONG time. Boots is so solidly on the list of artists that I feel privileged to be alive at the same time as, and so is everyone who worked on this film. The amazing @tuneyards did the score + CRUSHED it!

Here are some screening pics

Alina Kanin, Boots’ daughter composed an EP of songs that Keke Palmer did for the soundtrack, it’s great.

Legendary illustrator J. Otto Siebold did the titles and it was great to meet another longtime hero.

GO CHECK it OUT.

P.S. This movie is also, from first to last frame, is laughing in AI’s face. It is mooning AI. It is pressed hams in the face of AI. It is people powered hand made ART in so many ways that I am so excited for people to see.

This one is about a song that is faster than most of our other songs. It is also probably inspirational. Ok.

Happy Easter. Enjoy all of those eggs.
