As a girl in this sport whom can often feel overshadowed by her older brother & is still very much learning to manage emotions & value the lessons the hard days & losses will eventually teach her. As a parent I hope she knows how incredibly proud I am of her to keep getting back up, how brave she is to keep stepping out there. She doesn’t know it yet but she’s already inspired other little girls to stay out there on the mats just by her presence on the mats & in the training room! One day she’ll know. This was one of the hard days but her consistency & resilience will pay off one day. Keep getting out there baby girl. 👊

Slow & Steady wins the long game. Efi fought hard @grapplingindustries Brooklyn today & while the wins may have not came today there are always small victories achieved little by little. This takedown to mount was her win for the day.

@grapplingindustries Boston yesterday Efi had 9 tough matches 3 wins 2 submissions & 1 decision win. Little by little finding her own way in the sport. Proud of her grit!

I’ve been pouring my heart into Jiu Jitsu, training every day with dreams of competing at the Pan Kids Jiu Jitsu Championship in Orlando this July. It’s one of the biggest stages for young athletes like me, and I’m determined to give it my all. I’ve been holding bake sales and lemonade stands at Renzo Gracie Brooklyn to help make this dream a reality. The support I’ve received so far has been amazing, and each step brings me closer to the championship mat.

This fundraiser is crucial for covering the costs associated with my journey, including extra training sessions, registration fees, and travel expenses like flights and hotels. Participating in this championship is more than just a goal; it’s an opportunity to grow and push the limits of what I can achieve. Every bit of support brings me closer to representing Renzo Gracie Brooklyn on that stage and gives me the chance to showcase what hard work and determination can accomplish.
