THE FATES
Meaning - Discarded, broken fates are buried in the desert sand. Lift these out, and find the spiritual in the mundane. Only through imagination will you see the fates, often in derelict, forgotten places. Place a symbolic object somewhere in your house that needs a clearing. Light incense in your workplace.

Take a moment to let your mind be quiet, and see what the fates are trying to tell you. We often see fate as something superstitious and fixed, rather than a colourful weaving we’ve been given. Loving your fate really just means loving your life, but at a soulful level. We have brutally tossed aside the spiritual and rituals in our lives and it’s time to try and see your story from a bigger picture. In Dante’s Inferno he says “Do not be afraid; our fate Cannot be taken from us; it is a gift.” Rather than seeing your external circumstances as a curse, try and see the flip side of them as a gift. Love is our true fate. It is through relationships with others that we find the meaning of our lives and although we cannot control who enters and exits our life, we can choose with whom we spend our time.

Every year at this time I say:

I so wish we could have another month!

For forever and always the summer season has been my absolute favourite.

I love the warmth and sunshine. The slow mornings. The travel and new adventures. The freedom from schedules, and the connection and time with loved ones.

I’m grateful for every single morsel this summer has been.

The time with Summer and Russell back in Nosara, Russell getting to Europe for the first time with his buds for his grad trip, time in Canada - first back supporting trove and then with family in Collingwood and Muskoka, fun with friends sprinkled among it all, and one of the most special was our trip in Quebec just the 5 of us to Chateau Montebello and then in Montreal.

There were so many incredible moments that can’t be captured here… but isn’t that just how it goes on the gram… and so many more to come as we continue to take in every morsel of this magical season.

For now I felt called to put this here. To thank everyone who’s been part of the magic making and to wish everyone all the best as we savour what’s left of this epic, magic filled season. xo

Thanks to all the kind messengers and birthday well-wishers who took the time to reconnect here in this virtual playground.

I spent the last week celebrating with old friends and family who are always there to remind me of how life can improve. I’m lucky to know some beautifully critical minds who have helped me to continue to associate this time of year with rebirth and reconstruction. This has been much more challenging than most other years so your time with me has been especially appreciated during this horsey one.

And to all my inspiring new friends who call me a unicorn for experimenting , your blind love and levity has moved me to sing in new voices, play strange new instruments, accept more than understand and most importantly dance. How did it take us so long to dance?

Whether you’re an old friend or new found family, thank you for trusting to share all your wondrous tales (light and dark) with me. You’ve made this OCD writer (in fear of forgetting) a lot less scared and a little more free.

This year will see a playful mini tour come June with friends in @dopaminedreamband , summer dates with my electro dance outfit “Peirsona” and a return to my solo acoustic roots @ Peirson Ross album / tour, visiting my sweethearts family between shows in Japan, Korea and Australia - it’s my first time touring in these markets, so your recommendations (venues, agents, accommodations etc.) are always welcome.

Here’s a Dylan cover that serves as the soundtrack to this slide show in tribute to my dear brother Jammer who was born the same day as me. For everyone else especially those who are suffering, my only birthday wish this year is to “make you feel my love”.

With gratitude,

Love Peirson
