The new album from @alabaster / @alabastermusic is out today! Produced and mixed by me! I felt so honoured to be involved in the writing process for this album and producing it was kinda unexpected but it was a fun experience 😆

I really love Alabaster’s vision and their desire to write songs for the church. I’m more of an indie boi but I grew up on church music 🎶 my sister told me this album reminded her of some of the old 90s worship albums and that’s probably because they’re still my go-to for this style! It felt really sweet to be able to create something for that context as well, even though it’s not my usual production wheelhouse!! Happy with how it came out and more than anything grateful to have met and worked with some a wonderful group of people 🫶

Feels so surreal to be sharing this because for so long I didn’t think this would ever happen to me but… today is the release day for a song I wrote. 😭

as we’ve been songwriting, I’ve been thinking about the millions of songs that already exist in worship of Jesus, and the millions of songs not yet written or sung and how even with the sheer volume of them, it will never capture in full the worthiness or the never ending praise to encompass Him. We have eternity to sing of Him and it still won’t be long enough.

old friends and new, it’s an ongoing honour to write songs for our King and for the Church.

thank you lord for my wife, my family, my friends, music, LA, hiking, sunsets, turning 30, and everything in between

i know ive been spamming your feed with “self sabotage” content but i need to express my gratitude to everyone who’s listened, reposted, and commented - thank you. i set out on this new journey of releasing my own music not knowing the destination but fully realizing the vulnerability and risk it would require of me. it’s often hesitation and overthinking come knocking on my door and this song captures my response.

i haven’t quite made up my mind on the next song to release but it kinda feels right to let this one sit for a sec. i’ll probably change my mind tmrw. regardless im putting out an album this year. hopefully by summer. anyways this was long winded. love you all and thank you for listening 🫶🏼
