While browsing through my camera roll to make this post, I couldn't help but feel so incredibly blessed as I looked back at my 2025 memories.
After a few tumultuous years that took a toll on my heart and body, at the beginning 2025 God gave me a promise through Isaiah 43:19 "See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland"
In other words 2025 was going to be the year of new beginnings and impossible things becoming possible. I didnt know what that would look like. But as I reflect, I am in awe of Gods goodness to me.
I helped begin a new Christian theater company through which I played an unlikely role as Mary Bennett from Pride Vs Prejudice. I furthered my career in the dental field by completing (nearly impossible) college classes and working my butt off at my job as a dental assistant. The gym became my second home as I reclaimed my broken body from years past. I hiked magnificent trails....scouted out new waterfalls....explored the Olympic Peninsula and the Oregon Coast.
The biggest thing I didnt see coming in 2025 was an unlikely friendship that turned into a relationship. Through this relationship, I have discovered so much about myself that I had forgotten or thought was lost. I have been challenged to dig deep and face the good, the bad and the ugly....but God has met me each step of the way.
I am truly looking forward to 2026. I pray my thirst for adventure, passion for life and absolute surrender to Gods plan only deepens and grows as my Jesus leads me each step of the way. Happy New Year everyone!

Hi, my name is Jessica, and I apparently throw Murder Mystery Going Away Parties for young adults entering Carmel… 🤔🤦🏻‍♀️😅

I haven’t blogged the other two yet, but I threw one in December of 2022 for my girls’ friend Rosie when she entered Carmel, and another for their friend Ben when he entered a Carmelite Monastery in December of 2023. When I heard that Ben’s younger sister (another dear friend of my girls was entering Carmel as well) I asked her at our 18 year old’s graduation party this summer if she’d like one too. The answer was YES!!!

We decided on a Western Theme (perfect for her!) and she and our oldest daughter worked on the guest list and assigned the suspect roles while I worked on the rest of the planning. It was so much fun, and the “best one yet!” according to some of our guests. I hear that each time!
