Bittersweet isn’t often a word that comes to mind when one thinks of Baldridge family and their seasonings, but moving forward from the 2026 National Junior Angus Show, it’s the new truth for Rosalind Kidwell. Achieving one of her biggest goals as a member of National Junior Angus Association, Kidwell was named this year’s Jim Baldridge Outstanding Leadership Award winner.

“It’s a big honor, especially from the Baldridge family. Their seasoning was always in our cabinet at home, and we always knew who Jim Baldridge was,” Kidwell says. “Being able to win this award is the perfect way to cap off my junior career. It’s my last year at nationals, my last time being a junior member, and it’s extremely bittersweet.”

They say faith as small a mustard seed can move a mountain, but at this year’s National Junior Angus Show, Brystol Humpert reminded families that faith doesn’t have to look big to make a big impact. With about 400 minature Jesus figurines, some stickers and a cardboard cutout, this 11-year-old brought a smile and prayer to showboxes in Louisville.

A little late, but we couldn’t let the accomplishments from the National Junior Angus Show go unrecognized!

This year’s National Junior Angus Show was a home run for our Colorado juniors!

Congratulations to Avery Kimble for stepping up to the plate and proudly representing Colorado, earning a spot in the Top 15 showmen, an outstanding achievement!

Mataya and Clay proudly represented Colorado as our voting delegates, helping give our state a voice during the National Junior Angus Association meetings, where they voted on the next junior board members.

Mataya served as the Colorado Angus Queen, representing the Colorado Angus Association with pride and professionalism throughout the week. She also placed second overall in Intermediate Extemporaneous Speaking and was awarded a Youth TALON Educational Learning Program Undergraduate Scholarship.

Thank you to all of our Colorado juniors for representing Colorado so well. We are proud of your hard work, dedication, and sportsmanship. We’d say this year’s team definitely hit it out of the park!
