πŸ•οΈ Camp Bantam Recap πŸ•οΈ This past weekend I got to go to the first annual #CampBantam hosted by @bantambooks @ballantinebooks @randomhouse @campdeforestme and I had THE BEST TIME!! I love the book community and am so grateful to have had the chance to explore a new area in my home state, meet and make new friends, add new books to my never-ending TBR, eat great food, and stay at the cutest little camp!! If you’re looking for the cutest coziest spot to spend a weekend by the sea, @campdeforestme is for you!! riley sager ranking!! βœ©β‚ŠΛš.β‹†πŸ•ΈοΈβ‹†βΊβ‚Šβœ§ sager is one of my favorite authors! his thrillers/mysteries are intriguing, atmospheric, and constantly keep me guessing 🧐 i love the paranormal aspect that some of them take on, you never really know what is real and what to believe! πŸ‘»πŸ¦‡πŸ”ͺπŸͺΎπŸ˜± i’ve read all the books he has published and here’s my formal ranking (with star ratings) πŸ’« πŸ₯‡ the only one left (5🌟) literally a masterpiece, i was SHOOK the whole time, didn’t guess a thing, compulsively read this over two days lol πŸ₯ˆ the last time i lied (5🌟) love love love this one! read it a few years ago and i remember being shocked and eating it up!! πŸ₯‰ final girls (4⭐️) my first sager novel! this one didn’t disappoint, the twist *perfection! 4️⃣ the house across the lake (4⭐️) SUPER weird, i get why some people don’t like it, but I enjoyed the quirkiness / unbelievability of it all lol 5️⃣ home before dark (3.5⭐️) this is one i think i need to reread, i constantly think about it and i read it years ago!! this book genuinely scared me, haunted houses / ghosts are NOT my thing 😫 the first half is a bit boring but it definitely picks up!! 6️⃣ survive the night (3.5⭐️) pretty good! kept my attention for the most part, the twists were interesting; however, i did guess one pretty early, the epilogue was awesome !! 7️⃣ middle of the night (3.5⭐️) very atmospheric and spoooooky, a bit slow at some points and i wish certain plot points were further developed, but overall a solid read! 8️⃣ lock every door (3⭐️) coming off the high of final girls and the last time i lied, this one didn’t live up to my sager standards. i found myself a bit bored and i didn’t really care about the main character lol, but there were some elements that were interesting! 9️⃣ with a vengeance (2.5⭐️) SO sad to say, but sager’s latest novel is my least favorite so far. it was pretty slow, confusing at times, the twists almost twisted in the wrong direction ?? hahaha, and just not for me :( still love this guy and here’s to many more 5🌟 reads by him!! which sager novel is your favorite?!
