Here's a quick update on MeeMaw!

It's been a while since we've posted, and there are a handful of reasons for that. There's a lot of exciting things happening in the background, with more to come on that soon.

For now though, here's an exciting update. We're airplane owners! Meet our newest family member, MeeMaw👵🏼 She's a 1949 Cessna 120 with a Continental O-200, 100hp engine. We've been so blessed with friends and family who have pushed us along in this venture into aviation, and this plane presented an amazing opportunity to complete our flight training much more economically than renting a plane from a flight school. It was an unplanned but too good a deal to pass up🔥

We have to extend a huge thank you to @smshimkus for bringing this deal to us, and for being our ferry pilot to take it to its new home. By the time we get our certificates you're going to be directly responsible for every aspect of the process🤣 You're the man!

And of course, @dennisrowe57 who has been our biggest cheerleader for for years, and is ALWAYS down to get involved in anything related to flying.

We can't wait to get on the sky with you both. Here's to years of adventure to come!

After nearly 15 years dedicated almost entirely to weight training- this weekend I competed in a HYROX relay. Anyone who knows me would never have guessed that I’d this (and I complained about the training every week).

However the event was an amazing experience and I managed to run 1 km in 4:07, which for someone who basically hasn’t ran in a decade, this was a HUGE accomplishment (though my teammates know I almost didn’t make it back to the transition zone and definitely slowed us down a tad as a result 🤣).

I couldn’t have asked for a better team to share this experience with, and I’m so thankful to everyone who showed support.

Already planning to run it back next year 🔥

Basically I’m a hybrid athlete now 🤷
