Meet Lewis….our Spinner®️ in the Spotlight 💙🚴💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 If there is one thing which is going to inspire you today THIS IS IT….PLEASE TAKE A LOOK 🧡🤗🧡❤️#clubmckendry #spinning #strongertogether #gunexuk My name is Lewis and in June 2025 I crashed my car after having a cardiac arrest between crashing car and reaching hospital I had 5 cardiac arrests which i later found out was due to a hereditary heart disease called brugada syndrome which caused me to cardiac arrest and die, I was lucky enough to be brought back to life and survive against all odds, even when the doctor told my family there was nothing else they could do for me except switch of life support, I continued to fight and wouldn’t give up, a year later, against all odds I have had a defibrillator fitted inside me.I was walking, taking and continuing to make progress, I have a cognitive brain injury, I struggle with my speech, fine motor skills this has made me feel very self conscious around others, then I found Club Mckendry spinning club and it has helped massively with my self confidence, everyone treats me like an individual and not someone who is disabled, Janis Alan Ian and team encourage me to go at my own pace and go the extra mile to make sure I am ok, after doing this for a few months I can now stand when spinning, I feel confident enough to put myself out my comfort zone, I am going to join them in Greece in June next year for a spinning conference, its not just an exercise class for me, its a focus, a determination, a family, a laugh, a place where i am seen as an individual, praised for my achievements, encouraged to keep going, where everyone is friendly and makes me feel like a human being and not a person who is disabled. Huge Thanks to you guys for going the extra mile 💕

Iain loved teaching his Blue Angel Ride tonight- this ride was first taught during lockdown on 27th May 2020 - do we all remember those crazy times teaching in front of a camera 😱. Iain took inspiration from Josh’s Fighter Pilot Ride - 2013 Miami - still gives us goosebumps when we look back at videos. Iain had the honour to ride the Blue Angel bike 💙🚴💙🇺🇸🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿#clubmckendry #spinning #strongertogether #gunexuk
