"I find beauty in divergence and creativity.

"I struggle often with the way that society expects me to be beautiful.

"Often I want to rebel against norms while still feeling desirable as a woman. This can come with jumping through a lot of emotional hoops.

"I'm constantly inspired by my friends who don't look for traditional beauty but have a different way of acting, speaking or seeing the world that makes them utterly incandescent."

"Finding my place in this world and who I want to be in it has been a winding and rocky path, but knowing who I am and understanding myself is something I take very seriously.

"As a queer woman I'm always looking for role models to look up to and I find this in women who are good at expressing their wants, histories and emotional worlds in a resonant way.

Still stunned from the results of this shoot with Judee earlier this week - my third for this reflective portraiture project.

Inspired by the song of the same name, it is based around its themes, including: beauty, identity, darkness, reflection and fear.

"the prestigious, self-serious, local folk punk band" with maddeningly esoteric lyrics, bang average guitars and gorgeous violin lines. see for yourself, it's in the video.

it was a pretty special year for me

got sentimental for the last tour at @queeraspunkscot and covered @luckyjunehenry's infinite money glitch. it's been some year 💚

I got several words wrong, but it was absolutely worth it!

this was a one off (we love a unique moment) but we're back at it again on thursday at banshee labyrinth with @_munroville_ and @happyhearsetouring.

(miss you too, @thelastarizona x)
