Having a heart that has expanded to two different places across the world is a difficult but beautiful feeling. It really teaches you to focus on the present, soak up all the quality time, and never take a moment for granted. Growing up in California shaped me into who I am today and feel so grateful to have such beautiful roots here. Such a special season filled with lots of love, family time, and every waking moment in nature. A few of the many raw memories from the last two visits home🌞

One of the hardest parts about living abroad is missing loved ones and milestones. I talk to my parents almost daily and during most of our recent phone calls, they kept asking if I could come visit for my dad’s big milestone birthday. I kept saying I couldn’t make it since it’s so far and I was recently home so maybe later in the year. But secretly with a bit of planning thanks to my brother, I think it’s safe to say we pulled off a surprise and shock of a lifetime. Life is so short and our parents mean the world to us and deserve to feel special just like they have always made us feel. I think their faces say it all 🥹

What an epic year filled with so many adventures ~ ticking travels and wildlife encounters off the bucket list, trying and learning so many new things, and enjoying each day as it comes by making the most of it 🌞 A few moments from exploring more of Australia, Africa, French Polynesia, and California with the best company. Big love to everyone who made this year so special 🌺Can’t wait for all the adventures to come next year!

Spent more time in the water than on land on this trip back to California 🌞🌴🐚 Such a short but sweet couple weeks back to my happy place spent with the best company and conditions 🌊 It took me moving across the world to change my perspective on appreciating and exploring certain parts of my own hometown. Archives from Africa 🦒🌍📷

Experiencing all these moments in person was a dream come true. Especially because it was spent with my family who were right by my side sharing these surreal encounters and life changing moments together. Kenya and Tanzania will always hold such a special place in my heart and I will continue to dream about going back here.

Looking through these photos from my last overseas trip makes me so nostalgic. Moments frozen in time. But also makes so excited for the next upcoming wildlife expedition. I’ll be heading somewhere a bit more tropical and another place that has been on my bucket list for years. I’m excited to pick up my camera again and feel inspired by new landscapes, animals, people, and a beautiful culture I can’t wait to experience so soon.
