Meet the Cast!
Julianne Dowler is an actor, singer, writer and producer who travelled all the way from Arkansas to LA to be in this series! @juliannedowler has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, produced the wildly successful indie feature @d.e.admovie and was the producer on Aisha’s debut short @blocked.film. She plays our strictest therapist, which was very difficult because she has a laugh that lights up a room!

Check her out in episode 2 of Is This Normal? and then send her some ice packs to help heal the ruler slaps.

Aisha isn’t just an actor in the series, she is also a writer, producer and director! That’s right, she wore many hats – which is very impressive with amazing hair like hers!

When we think of @aishaalfa we think of the words of Chakka Kahn because she’s #everywoman. Follow and watch to see her do her thang!

Our leading man is not Type A, he’s more of a Type B or C or…W?!? But he’s learning to stick up for himself! He corrected the therapist who called him the wrong name so that’s huge! Baby steps.

Therapy is supposed to make you feel seen and heard, but here, it’s mostly just making Kris feel…uncomfortable. Watch our guy in “Is This Normal” – premiering September 2026!

Meet the Cast!
Kris is played by @mrkristianbruun, who you know from @orphanblack, @cbcmurdoch @therecruitseries_netflix, The Girl Who Escaped: The Kara Robinson Story, and @therookieabc !

What will it take for Kris to make the leap and commit to Aisha? Follow his journey through all the wrong therapists to get to the right answers.

“Is This Normal?” A new vertical series coming soon!
