And this is the Zine. Never heard of them till yesterday. My latest play with collage. I used some old artworks I’d made in Laura Horn’s Modern Mixed Media course some time ago and tore them up and made them into mini collages and started a new sketchbook. I love this process. Catherine Raines course Collage Kickstart inspired me. #debsgardenart #collageartworks #playwithcollage #laurahornartclasses #collagemakerssummit2025 #minicollage #collagesketchbooks #collagekickstart

Still working on my workshop learning new things for school. This is fun pd. The workshop I am taking is called Colori Flori Summit with 14 different botanical style artists. This class was taught by Julie Hamilton- flip+fold florals. A lot of fun with intuitive watercolor painting into an accordion book. #artworkshop #workshop #summerart #teachersmakearttoo #watercolor #floral #color #intuitive #artbook #marks

This time last year we were jumping into @flowersmagic_artfest 2024 - It has been a whole year already!! 😳😬

Whew! Time flies when you’re renovating an entire house from the inside out. 😛

So I took a scroll back through some of my favorite highlights from last year because this year I’ll be waving as the parade goes by … but I *must* give a shout out because
1. This is my favorite summer art fest ever! If you’ve been interested - go for it! SO SO fun and full of really great mixed media techniques.
2. A few of my favorite IG Pals are teaching and they are INCREDIBLE!

Playing around yesterday. I was doing Julie Hamilton’s Zines from Collage Makers Summit earlier this year. I really had fun making the large piece using different colours from usual and then I used a viewfinder to discover smaller pieces that worked. I found 24 on one large sheet. I then made the Zine. Never made one before. I’ll be making more. #debsgardenart #collagemakerssummit #collageartworks #collagezines #zines #collageplay
