Today’s Inauguration marked the beginning of a new chapter in New York City. Welcome Mayor @zohrankmamdani alongside Public Advocate @jumaane.williams and Comptroller @marklevinenyc!

I wish them great success in their roles and look forward to working together to deliver for New Yorkers in the years ahead.

Today I joined Mayor Mamdani, Attorney General James, DCWP Commissioner Levine, and my colleagues in government as he signed an executive order to ban hidden junk fees and subscription traps. This move allows @hellodcwp to enforce compliance on deceptive business practices and enforce stronger consumer protections for New Yorkers. I look forward to partnering with @nycmayor in making NYC more affordable, as we continue to cut costs that harm everyday New Yorkers.

Congratulations to @julmenin on becoming the first Jewish Speaker of the New York City Council - an important role in the city at a time of rising antisemitism.

Loved coming together with friends at @repgracemeng’s Chanukah party. Throughout her career, Grace has been more than an ally to the Jewish community and is always there in the good times and the hard ones. I am grateful that this holiday reminds us that we are not alone.

What an extraordinary moment celebrating Hanukkah with Congresswoman Grace Meng and our incredible Queens community! The Festival of Lights is not just a holiday it’s a timeless story of perseverance, faith, and the triumph of light over darkness. This celebration was a powerful reminder of the values that unite us: resilience, hope, and the strength of community. It was inspiring to join leaders, neighbors, and friends in honoring Jewish heritage and embracing the diversity that makes Queens and our nation so vibrant. Hanukkah teaches us that even in the face of challenges, light can prevail. As we gather to light the menorah, let us recommit ourselves to spreading kindness, fostering understanding, and building bridges across all cultures and faiths. Together, we can create a future filled with peace, harmony, and opportunity for all. Grateful to Congresswoman Grace Meng for hosting such a meaningful celebration and for her unwavering commitment to inclusivity and community engagement. Wishing everyone a joyful Hanukkah filled with light, love, and blessings! #Hanukkah #FestivalOfLights #CommunityUnity #UnityInDiversity #CommunityEngagement

A great night celebrating the season with our Bronx Dems family 🎄✨

We loved being in the room with so many elected officials, community partners, and friends, and were glad to be joined by Council Member @julmenin and Comptroller-elect @marklevinenyc

Thanks to our partnership with @dr._xzr and @hsnyorg Housing Solutions of New York, the toys collected will go directly to children living in transitional housing right here in the Bronx—what the season is all about.

We also took a moment to recognize Council Members @cmdianaayalanyc and @cmsalamancajr_d17 for their years of service to the Bronx as their Council terms come to a close.

Appreciate everyone who celebrated with us and continues to support our borough.
