Now that I have had the time to process all that has happened in the past few weeks I can finally express my feelings about the situation. Leaving JU isn’t what hurts me it’s the way I have to leave. Getting rid of our entire music department, firing all the faulty, and pushing students to drop music as a whole or transfer is just flat out wrong. These decisions have impacted the entire arts program and it has both students and faculty in devastating situations. Now I have to graduate late all because JU couldn’t manage their money. Aside from all of that I’m so grateful to all of my friends and professors I’ve met throughout my time here at JU. Thanks @shannon.lockwood1 for teaching me patience and motivation. Thanks @elyseangela for teaching me diligence, understanding, and expression. Thanks to my peers for teaching me compassion, confidence, and kindness. And Thanks to @kbeasle , @stringandbaton , @dinabarone2017 for being such supportive and caring faculty! As much as I hate saying it right now, I’m so happy that I came to JU. I’m proud of the progress I made as a musician while being here. I wouldn’t have changed it for the world! I love you all!
