Today I competed at Cork open in Cork Weightlifting Club . Delighted with my performance coming away with 5/6 lifts winning the u70kg weight class

A few wee bits from the last couple of weeks! Back to training… finally!🥳
After months of dealing with back pain, and having to take a step back and actually focus on the basics again. Rehab.😴💪🏼

It's frustrating when you're used to training one way and suddenly the goal is simply to move without pain.
But trying to remember that progress doesn't have to be fast to be progress. So for now…
Slow & steady.🐢
Just focusing on getting stronger, one session at a time. 🫶🏼

It wasn’t the day I had planned for but it was out of my control. Training had gone really well and I was peaking perfectly in training on Friday but then……….You can’t do much when you get food poisoning, need to get an IV drip and drop 3kg in 48 hours.

Big thanks to @claire_mclarnon @liane_vaughan_ , Shauna and Harry for looking after me both in the warm room and while I was ill.

Thank you to @phenomwl_irl and @jungbea for helping me to prepare for my first international and letting me train in their garage. Those sessions were great fun and really beneficial.

Today I competed at Lenister open in CrossFit Ostmen. Delighted with my performance coming away with 5/6 lifts and after a tough week of cutting made the u65kg class and win that
