FOCUS 1/4

Juri Bizzotto (1998*, Bassano del Grappa, IT) @jur1b1zzotto

The context of their family farm and the periphery from which they come has always deeply informed and determined their research. Bizzotto articulates agroecology, epistemology and gender studies in order to think critically with respect to the link between landscape, identity and the production of knowledge. In their artistic activity this translates into a multidisciplinary worldbuilding practice that combines drawing, props, installation, music and performance. Like a ventriloquist or an ‘ontonaute’, Bizzotto reimagine themselves through the postures of the agents they encounter in their landscape, in order to grasp the poetic and political imagination that emerge from these encounters. Familiarizing with the gap created by translation seeks to reconnect with multiplicity and grace, to distance oneself from dominant epistemologies; creating bridges between ‘cosmovisions’.

(English in the comments)

@fredrich_araujo, @riscadela, @rotgrllll, @cigarra_soundsister, @janoluz, @fab.asourdi, @aladdine3000, @youmes2s2, @jur1b1zzotto, @juliemrmt - @arroi_production, @s.o_thebaddestdame, @nusch36

Que venha muito mais!
