This is what happens when the AKAs and Zetas team up! 🩷💚💙🤍

Philadelphia saw what happens when Black sorority members collaborate in excellence in action as two sorors from Alpha Kappa Alpha and Zeta Phi Beta teamed up together to host their second annual Pretty Finer Glow & Give service event.

Founded by Journey Washington @just.journn (AKA) and Amija Coleman @openbookofbeauty (Zeta), the event took place at the Hope Institute of Science and exemplified the power of divine nine sisterhood, faith, and purpose-driven leadership.

Rooted in God, fellowship, and community uplift, Pretty Finer Glow & Give brought together more than 60 attendees, ranging from 7 months to adults. The initiative raised over $800 and collected generous donations to assemble hygiene and personal care kits. These care packages were then distributed to underserved populations through Chosen 300, the Kensington area, and even reached families in Nigeria.

By uniting sorority values with intentional community action, Pretty Finer Glow & Give continues to be a shining example of what happens when Black sorority women collaborate with purpose.

From May 16 to June 16, we’re collecting both monetary and physical donations to support individuals in need throughout the Philadelphia area.
