Performance, drag, moving image, and artists from many disciplines are coming together and transforming the dancefloor into a live cultural happening.

Baba Yaga creates space for queer artists connected through Slavic languages, neighbouring geographies and shared cultural histories.

Somewhere in the dark, between the dressing room and the dancefloor, Baba Yaga will appear.

Diva FM puts his favourite track on and Misha Meg takes the stage, so all the bodies get closer, and everything gets a little saltier. It’s the Sweat, vodka, pickles, and bad decisions; everything will have to be explained later but Baba approves.

Marmorbar becomes the Vidmas house for this night.

Two floors full of freedom.
Art, drag, performance, and music until 8 am.

On 12 September, Baba Yaga takes over Marmorbar for the first time.

A queer gathering of music, nightlife, performance and art rooted in Slavic, Balkan, Caucasus and neighbouring cultures across Central and North Asia.

Two floors.
Two bars.
Dark rooms.
Live performances.
An awareness team throughout the night.

We’ll be collecting donations for QUARTEERA @quarteera throughout the night, supporting their work with LGBTIQ* refugees, migrants and families.

Yesterday marked the official end of this six-month journey in Berlin. It’s hard to look back without feeling overwhelmed by everything I’ve experienced in such a short time. There were plenty of moments that shook my confidence, times when I was scared of failing, of disappointing others, of taking on more than I could handle. I’m incredibly grateful to the people who supported me through those moments—I couldn’t have done it without them. This time also taught me a lot about my limits, about standing my ground, and about recognizing when to accept things as they are and when to push for change.

Someone once told me that Berlin is a niche place in my life, a city that helps me stay open, willing to experience, and to truly look inward. I believe that’s true. This city is so layered and diverse that everyone can find their own space in it, their own version of home.

So here’s a little look back at the past few months, all the way to September when I moved here—some of my favorite memories, with people and moments that gave me so much. I already can’t wait to come back—and I will.
